first off, i think we can all agree about the recent release of Alice in Wonderland. the film never looked better and the special features are definitely better than recent platinum editions (cough*lion king*cough). personally i totally love the old television material, deleted materials, and trailers.
second, sleeping beauty got the same spectacular visual and auditory treatment in a breathtaking and triumphant widescreen edition. including the short film Grand Canyon, theatrical trailers, making of, old television specials including the Peter Tchaikovsky Story, and an awesome audio commentary (with a deleted song played where it was originally supposed to be)
next up, Frank and Ollie. with personal film footage and original animated sequences (and a production progression feature from......THE RESCUERS!) this documentary rocks.
Pirates of the Caribbean. this 2-disc set exploded with easter eggs, the original television show (which is a virtual film of the ride itself), 3 AUDIO COMMENTARIES, making of vignettes, and a totally hip interactive look at a real pirate's life.
these are just some of my faves.........
which ones are your favorites and why?
maybe if disney sees what everyone likes about the dvd releases, they will start including those things on their dvds more regularly
