I would like to graciously thank Joan for accepting the award on my behalf. Like others who can't be on stage to accept their awards on other award shows, I'm unavoidly working on another project at this moment in time, which is taking up 14+ hours each working day.

I do thank everyone who voted for me. I'm sorry I haven't posted much of substance recently. Hopefully things will be back to normal work-wise soon.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Well I'm not entirely sure that I deserve this award. Given that past winners include Luke and deathiemouse, it's certainly a surprise. Thank you very much to all who voted, though! I guess I need to start posting a lot of news or something over the next year to earn this award!

Thanks, Anthony, for an awesome speech!

Stay tuned for the Topic/Thread of the Year award!

Well Aaron, you are informative, you know - so stop being modest and snatch that GM! Well done, and may you have many more wins! :) :thumb: Ten thumbs up!

You know Aaron, someday you and Luke should organize a UD get-together - somewhere in the world. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but I've been dreaming of it ever since I joined this site. And you know ... we might actually get to see Luke, provided he doesn't fool us all and come to the party wearing a brown paper bag in his head. :P

Good job Aaron, really appericate the info you share with UD + I love your reviews especialy Walt Disney Treasures Mickey Mouse In Black/White Vol. 1

We have a talented singer, who's been having a tremendous fame after appearing on American Idol. Her tone of music is seductive yet very sincere, a Disney fan herself, this woman is honored to perform at our awards. Ladies and Gent...Kelly Clarkson, performing Breakaway, featuring scenes from Peter Pan.

I don't always go for these kind of videos on YouTube, but I must say you've done a great job with this one. The song's fitting to begin with, and your scene selection and synchronization work made it even moreso. Well done!

Just the Hogwarts topic, even though I'm a Durmstrang girl. Perhaps Durmstang and Beauxbatons should be added as options.

Oh, I am. But I'm also a Slytherclaw and a Slytherpuff, and besides which, my personality match is McGonagall (a Gryffindor). I'm really quite the enigma when it comes to Hogwarts. Besides, most Durmstrang students would be Slytherins if they did attend Hogwarts.

The time has come to award the Thread of the Year and here to do that is none other than Dottie!

Dottie: Threads! A lot of them! Soemtimes too many. But what would UD be without them? It's an internet forum, so the only way to communicate with each other is in threads. And we don't even want to sew, just talk and have fun. Every year more threads are opened than we can count, and some have to be closed or even deleted. Some are useless, some are fun, some are informative, and then sometimes there comes a thread that shakes UD. Everybody participates in it, everyody reads it, and it counts many, many pages. Here are the nominees for Threat of the Year:

* American Idol 2007 Discussion Thread by dvdjunkie
* The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition DVD Discussion by Luke
* Song ofthe South coming to DVD (UK promo leaflet by ichabod

And the Oscar......, no Golden Globe......., dang it..... what are we
presenting here?

Ok, now I got it: The Golden Raspberry goes to:..............
Wait, that's not it either. *

The UD Award for Thread of the Year goes to:*

The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition DVD Discussion
by Luke

This is Luke's 19th Golden Mickey Award and his fourth award this year. He has a total of 21 nominations this year.

Congratulations, Luke! Press release threads always rock and this one certainly became quite the discussion... so much so that it evolved into multiple parts! Congratulations on your ability to always spark conversation!

Thanks for an awesome presentation speech, Dottie!

Still to come: the award for Friendliest/Kindest Member of the Year and, I suspect, more Joan!
