I know it was a silly thing to say - that's why I said it, in an attempt to spread a little sweetness and light to the forum. That's also why I added a phalanx of smilies to the end, to denote how silly it was.dvdjunkie wrote:Think about it.........that was a very silly thing to say........MK Sharp wrote:That must make it hard if you wanted to buy something like real estate, or a car...
But you've got to admit, you can't hold a house or a car in your hand. Maybe you should buy a shop; you could hold a shop in your hands, but only if you were a shoplifter to begin with...

(C'mon, you've got to smile a little at that one!)
But, as Lars so correctly points out, some of us can't go down to the local store and handle the merchandise. What can I say - we're not Americans - our parents stuffed up.My advice is be vary wary of shopping on line, you really don't save that much money, after shipping and handling, that you can't just go down to your local store and buy what you want.

But we take precautions; I would never use my credit card online, instead using a debit card linked to a bank account with a balance that's usually near zero. That way, even if someone gets my card details, they can't rip me off for more than about $2.62 (and that's $2.62 Australian, which is worth about 7c in American money

If we didn't buy online (he says, tenuously dragging the thread towards topic), there'd be a whole lot more titles that would be very hard to come by for us non-USAians. Or at the very least, much more expensive - there's a DVD import store in town here that has the unmitigated gall to charge AU$75 for a Treasure Tin that you could pick up for less than half that online.
