Pins...again,favorite characters...My current fave is of Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas (I like how her arms are jointed,so they move)...
Figures...Mostly Mulan and Lion King related, though I also have some of Tinkerbell, and Jack and Sally from "Nightmare"...

disney collection
I used to collect tigger stuff, but stopped and sold most of it.
I collected the Princess glass glitter dolls, and the princess mugs (on Belle: Why am I attracted to such Beasts?")
I also used to collect anything Beauty and the Beast. I still do from time to time.

pins. kram got me hooked.
i started collecting tinkerbelle cause i adored her character, but then she got overcommercialized during the whole peter pan's 50th, and i grew sick of the pins they issued because tinkerbelle has like 5 different faces now because of the many pins. plus, i don't like when things are overcommercialized.
now i'm collecting alice in wonderland pins because i think all of them so far are so pretty. the grand floridian alice ones are the best.

Disney LaserDiscs -- I have all of the box sets, whether the content has been duplicated in the DVD, or not. However, I REALLY collect the content that isn't on DVD (yet).
Disney CDs -- the Greatest Hits (pink, blue, green, purple, and orange compilations) + numerous soundtracks (the uncensored Aladdin, Mary Poppins, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast to name a few).

disney collection?
so outside of the dvd what else do you collect? I saw in some of the photos some of the stuffed characters, a couple snow globes etc.
I was planning to do the snow globes, ya know, one for each movie I have, but its kind of expensive and I dont know how far I would have gone for that lol....but today me and my daughter went to the disney store in the mall and they were having a sale on almost everything but what caught my attention was those tumblers....with the snow globe like thing on the bottom?> they were 3/10 or 6.50 each so I planned to get maybe 6, walked out with 15. I got Cinderella, Buzz Lightyear, Monsters Inc, Bambi, 101 Dalmations, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Tinkerbell, The Aristocats, Alice in Wonderland, Lady and the Tramp, Dumbo, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and for my daughter a Minnie Mouse one. its much less expensive then the snow globes and I still kind of get the snow globe idea lol...so I was wondering what you guys collect, if anything, to accompany your dvds?
(also got a couple princess shirts and an Ariel shirt for my daughter, and a small princess ball)

I've been collecting Walt Disney Classics Collection figurines for about 10 years. I must have over 25. Although they are currently stored in their boxes at my parents' home while I'm living abroad. Someday I'll be able to see them and enjoy them.
I started with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the collection just kept growing.
I also have a nice framed pencil sketch of Pluto that I got at Disneyland Paris.

When I go to buy anything I always make sure it's a character I either don't have yet or really like. That way I get a wider variety of the characters. Generally I sort everything into groups so they fit on the shelves better. The bulk of toys I have are from McDonald's, except a small group from the Disney Store toy sets or Disneyland
- General Characters (anyone that doesn't fit in the groups below)
- Pixar Characters (again mostly McDonalds ones)
- The Main Gang (Micky,Minnie,Horace,Clarabelle, Chip, Dale, etc)
- Disney Royalty (anyone who's a King, Queen, Prince or Princess)
- Disney Villains (I also have a few pieces of Hook's Pirate Ship for some of them to stand on)
- Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End Figurine Set
- Winnie The Pooh (including the Peek-a-Poo's, McD toys, and ones from the Disney version of Kinder Eggs)
Non-Toy Stuff
- 4 small Kid's Glasses from when I was younger (Beauty and The Beast, Peter Pan, Winnie The Pooh, and Mickey and the gang as baby's)
- Posters (mostly from the Kingdom Hearts guidebooks and a Lion King poster)
- Wooden Posters (there's a picture of them in th Other Item Thread somewhere)
- Stuffies (some from McDonalds) most are from Disneyland and/or the Disney Store I currently have:
Beast
Lucky
Dopey
Nemo
Simba
Thumper
Dumbo
A Baby Mickey
Winnie The Pooh
Mini Winnie The Pooh
- Misc. stuff like Spoons, Beauty and The Beast Plate, Hercules Plate (from Mcdonalds), a couple pogs etc.
Thats about it really, Disney has really taken over my room the last few months.

Just looking back at my original post, and I'd say that the stuff I collect has changed significantly over the last few years.
For the most part, the Disney stuff I pick up now tends to be theme-park related. Books, plush toys and other exclusive trinkets. These tend to be limited to when I actually visit a Disney park, which isn't as often as I'd like, but I've been known to 'ebay' the occasional item as well.
I really like the stuff that can only be found in parks, or is very specific of a time and place. For example, Anaheim's 50th anniversary or Hong Kong's 1st, or any of the seasonal merchandise (Christmas, Halloween and so on).
My favourites would probably be my Tower of Terror Stitch and my Chinese New Year Mickey.

"Serious" books about Disney or Disney animation in particular. I've also got good collections of Carl Barks material and Disney animation laserdiscs, but I guess I don't really "collect" those anymore since there's very little (or pretty much nothing) more to buy - within a reasonable price range, that is...
I collect Finding Nemo stuff (plushes, books, cd, figurines, snowglobes, lamp... basically almost anything I can find!). I just LOVE this movie and its characters!!
I also like buying Disney stuff when I have some money to spend. I have plushes, mugs, books, lithographs, stickers and so on. Mostly from Aladdin, Lion King and The Little Mermaid.

Non-existent stuff! My favorite characters have practically NO merchandise in the forms of toys and clothes!
Well, I own almost everything with Prue in it, if that counts as something.
Both Cinderella sequels, the My Perfect Wedding book, the Cinderella sequels coloring books - if you can ignore the fact that one of my kid cousins messed up the C II one years ago by coloring everyone with green skin and purple tongues, and the Disney Adventures comic book with her in it. The only thing I don't have with her in it is Cinderella's Secret Diary - if that be the book's name - because I can't find it anywhere.
I'm weird. I suppose you could say I collect Cinderella objects. I also own figurines of quite a few of the characters, as well as a Cinderella doll and some other merchandise. Of course I own the original movie. I just...don't collect every single Cinderella thing I come across. If Prudence is in it, I'll buy it.
I own a few Ariel's Sisters products and a few Disney Fairies products. I really wish Disney would produce dolls of Mei, Su, and Ting-Ting, the princess from Mulan II. I would love to have a Ting-Ting doll in particular. I have...a few Amelia//Doppler items. I love the Treasure Planet couple. An Amelia doll would be nice to have, and I do mean a doll, not a figurine. I obviously wish there was a Prudence doll, as well as dolls of...well, almost everyone! Cinderella and the Prince have almost all the merchandise love when there are clearly also fans of Anastasia! (I would say that I'm in the minority, but I'm not positive about that. I have indeed come across other fans of Prudence and the Grand Duke. I'm probably still in the minority among Cinderella fans, but my group does exist.)

I don't really have just one thing that I collect. I have lots of DVDs. I'm a fan of stitch, so I have figures, snowglobes, lithographs and even a stitch cookie jar. I also have snowglobes and lithograps of other characters. I also have a bunch of park souvenirs. My more recent purchases have been two figures from the walt disney classics collection.
Unfortuantely I'm at the point now where I really need to move out and get a house of my own to be able to hold any more stuff...
