Short report of PIRATES PREMIERE at DISNEYLAND

Post by dizfan »

It came and went, and I am very happy that I was there!

We got there at around 2:30pm and our group got a spot next to this other group that had been there since 6:30 AM! That was lucky!

Not as many celebrities this year like there were last year. Keira Knightly didn't make it this year, but Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom did wander around our area of the carpet for a while. Others that I saw were Teri Hatcher, Cuba Gooding Jr, and Kobe Bryant.

When it came to Disney Co. figures: Roy Disney, John Lassetter, Ed Grier, Bob Iger, Jay Rusalo were there and even Matt Ouimet made it back to Disneyland for the event.

Disneyland looked great decked out for the event, all the Year of A Million Dreams decorations were traded out for Pirates.

It was a really great experience, was anyone else there?

Thanks for the report man!
Do you by any chance have pictures?
Did you get to chat with anyone Disney-related?

A friend shot some video. I just wanted to see it with my own eyes.

I should get a copy of it pretty soon.

I was there! Me and my friend got there at 4am, and got a spot in the bleachers between City Hall and the Emporium. It was a long 12 hour wait for the event to start, and I'm still sore and sunburned, but it was well worth it.

I ended up getting autographs from Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Chow Yun Fat, Lee Arenburg (Pintel), Kevin McNally (Mr. Gibbs), Martin Klebba (Marty), Jerry Bruckheimer, Apolo Anton Ohno, and John Voight.

It was a lot of fun, and now I'm even more excited to see the movie tomorrow at midnight!
