Phew ... now I can breathe. Thanks for the info Billy Moon! :)

Does anyone know why Disney are re-releasing The Little Mermaid II this month, along with Return To Neverland? It just seems so random to release them now. Are they going to be Special Editions or anything? I've looked, and it seems they are same releases.

Damn! Why don't WDFA projects get 2-Discers lately? :( Pixar always get double-disc affairs (excepting Cars) - it's not fair! :x

Meet the Robinsons is dated for 17th October according to play.com, might be a mistake though

I received Dumbo on Region 2 and watched the film, and I must say the picture quality is beautiful!

Is this the transfer people keep complaining about? Or did Region 2 get a better transfer than Region 1? Where is all the visual noise and distortion during the Pink Elephants on Paarade sequence that everyone keeps ranting about?

It's stunning. It almost looks as good as a Lowry restoration, save for some very mild (and rare) specks. BTW, it practically has no grain.

One more thing ... the soundtrack rocks ass! This is what I call a good mix! Strong bass and enveloping music, and not "fake" 5.1 surround sound remixes like they do with the package films.

Does anyone know if there are any more pre-1980's Live-action titles scheduled for release in the Uk this year?

I personally hope for some titles that have only been released as Disney movie club exclusives (like Kidnapped).

I was hoping the same thing. After last years Summer when a pile of stuff was released (most of it better than the R1) I was hoping we'd see the same again this year. Unfortunately I think any Summer releases would have been up for preorder by now. Looks like it'll be a dry year.

I'd like to know if the new editions available such as "fox and the hound", "dumbo" and "robin hood" have a slipcase? I saw that it is limited in time. Thanks for your help.

Well, I purchased The Fox and the Hound about 3 months ago and it did have a slipcover. It's quite nice. I bought Dumbo about a month ago and it too came with a slipcover. Since I haven't yet purchased the new edition of Robin Hood, I can't tell you about that, but I expect it should have one too.

Hmm ... where's the "Walt Disney Classics" banner gone? I expect it has still to be revised, no?

Or have your geese abducted the slipcover artists at BVHE UK, ichabod? :P

All three were released with Shiny Slipcases, whether they still have them with it now I don't know.

Does anyone have any updates for the Walt Disney Treasures? Like say when Donald 2 and Pluto 1 are coming, if they are?

They seem to have dropped off the radar a bit, don't they? It seems like all around the world they've been delayed and descheduled.

The good news is that Donald 2 and Pluto 1 have been through the Australian Classification Board which suggests they were pretty far advanced, so I suspect it will only be a delay and not a cancellation of the releases - probably they're holding them off until closer to Christmas.

But who knows, maybe someone looked at Donald 2 and thought "Hey, these prints are crap! Let's do them over before releasing them to the rest of the world!" (Well, a man can dream, can't he?)
"I hope we never lose sight of one thing - that this was all started by a little girl and a cat. And a rabbit."

They were both released here in Sweden last month!
So at least ours were not delayed or rescheduled!
