What are YOU waiting for? by Simba3

I'm (im)patiently waiting for the eventual release of Lilo & Stitch: Special Edition, an anamorphic Special Edition for The Rocketeer and The Black Cauldron, and Song of the South in any format.

For stuff that's actually gonna be coming out in the near future (this year), I'd have to say the only ones I'm looking forward to is the re-release of Return to Neverland and the PE for The Jungle Book

I'm really sorry, but HoNT and Hercules are among my least favorite Disney films. I know many people here love them, but not I. For me, Hercules is SOOO out of context of the real myth that it agitates me when I watch it. (Heck, in the real Greek myth, Hercules murdered his family! And Hera wasn't his mother! He was only 1/2 "God", as Zeus was his father and he had a "mortal" mother!!) Now, Hunchback on the other hand I haven't seen since around 1997-9ish. But from what I remember, it really wasn't my type of Disney film.

So, for me I would LOVE to see a new 2-Disk SE of Oliver and Company first and foremost. I think it's the most popular of the group (if you eliminate Hercules and Hunchback). The bonus features in Sword in the Stone GC are good enough to please me, and it quite frankly has a few suprises. Also, I don't think SitS is popular enough to recieve a 2-Disk SE anytime soon.

Honestly, I think all of the films on your poll deserve to be revisited in possibly 1-Disk DVD's, or if we get lucky, 2-Diskers. But I think the only one that really should get a 2-Disk set would be Oliver & Company

I would love to see 2-discers for Hercules, Hunchback and The Black Cauldron. And a re-issue of Tarzan: Collector's Edition.

Unedited versions of the 3 Caballeros and Saludos Amigos. Whether they're together or seperate I don't care but please give us a nice release of these two wonderful movies.

Yeah, that's how I feel towards the film too. I think by that time, I was just getting tired of the Disney animated musical, and Hercules just was a bit too indulgent in being both a musical, a comedy, and an action film.

Funny you should say that Hercules is the most inaccurate when talking about both HoND and Hercules. The original HoND novel by Victor Hugo is one of the darkest books I have ever read and yet Disney gives that fun new colorful version with a happy ending (although I admit it's one of Disney's darkest movies). But I love both movies, so I don't mind in either case, I just always thought that HoND was far worse when it comes to adaptation. Especially since Hercules is a total myth, so the variations are less obvious than for the book (which is a fiction too obviously, but there's a source more reliable than oral tradition for it). Anyway, not sure I am too clear here but well! You get the idea ;)

It was almost a tie for me between Hercules and HoND (I am a late-90s girl when it comes to Disney movies!) but the only thing that made me favor Hercules is the fast that I own a HoND VHS so I can always fall back on that when I have a need to see it ;)

of the movies listed, I chose Hunchback. But I'm also waiting for Snow White and BatB which I missed out on. I am also curious about Sword in the Stone. I've never seen it, but the characters look fun.

I voted for Oliver and Company.

I would love The Black Cauldron and Fox and the Hound to be 2-disc DVDs soon, though.

I voted Hercules. It's the only one of my favorites that I DON'T own on DVD, simply because I'm waiting for a better version.
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Uncut/uncensored versions of all the 40's anthology films, along with sufficient extras ("Fantasia," "Saludos Amigos," "The Three Caballeros," "Make Mine Music," "Fun and Fancy Free," "Melody Time," and "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mister Toad"). A similar treatment for "The Sword in the Stone" would be nice as well. Basically, anything Walt actually oversaw should get a legitimate release/rerelease.

I went with Hunchback.

Its such a criminally underrated movie and it deserves a MUCH better edition. I heard the Laserdisc had so much bonus material that it actually made the film justice.

Easily Herc and Hunchback. These are the two I loved the most in my childhood, and I cant keep waiting this long. How stupid is Disney?! I need these now! 2-Disc Editions! Lotsa bonus features! COME ON!
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!
