OH I didn't realize how much animation was on the On The Front Lines, lots of Donald too! Plus the combination of the live film propaganda really gives you a flavor of the times when these were produced. Now I see why this one is a common favorite. I thought the vast majority (both discs) was all live action WW II propaganda.

As you see, no reason to jump to conclusions before actually watching the material in question! The Front Lines set would probably be my number one pick if I were able to keep only four. Then probably Rarities and probably Goofy. Then perhaps Mickey In Color vol 1, but I also think Tomorrowland stands out in an interesting way. This would be hard. Fortunately, though, I see no reason why I should have to make such a decision.

So, only four Treasures, huh?

Well, being UD's official Monochrome Fool, I'd have to opt for Mickey Mouse in B/W vols 1 and 2, and the two Silly Symphonies releases, so at least I'd have all the b/w sound shorts. But that would mean jettisonning Rarities, and there's Oswald in the pipeline too...

And I'd be hard pressed to lose either volume of Mickey Mouse in Colour, since Vol 1 has so many classic shorts, and Vol 2 contains Symphony Hour, my all-time laydown favourite Disney short.

I wouldn't like to be without Goofy either; although I could probably live without the Donald and Pluto volumes. For a while, anyway.

Of course, without Behind The Scenes, I'd be bereft of the charming The Reluctant Dragon.

I think clearly the best way forward here is for me to redefine the number "4" up to around nineteen or twenty... :D
