I think you're drifting into the realms of fantasy now...

Of course, those of us who don't eat foam rubber will be picketing outside BVHE. Right along side those Christians who will be demanding a boycott because the Kermit / Miss Piggy love interest storyline is a clear flouting of Leviticus 19:19.

Well the Bible does say:

"Keep my statutes: do not breed any of your domestic animals with others of a different species; do not sow a field of yours with two different kinds of seed; and do not put on a garment woven with two different kinds of thread."
- Leviticus 19: 19

It is quite clear that God does not want dirty little frogs to "sow" a poor little piggy's "field". Its quite obvious, and for this reason alone, I refuse to purchase this blantant attack on the Bible.....

But wait.... doesn't this (do not sow a field of yours with two different kinds of seed) attack homosexuality as well?! I take offense to that! Damn......now I have to boycott the Bible too.

(please note sarcasm)
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!

I was just being silly given how long this set has been delayed. 2 years now.

The Bible has nothing to do with it but go ahead and boycott it just like most of the world.

Sorry, you've lost me now. Why is most of the world boycotting the DVD release of Season 2 of The Muppet Show?

Well, what about those of us who eat neither dogs nor mice? We could have made a lot of trouble for Disney, don't you think? :D

I'm pretty sure UncleEd was saying the rest of the world was boycotting the bible, not Season 2 of The Muppet Show. :P

Ah yes, of course, that makes much more sense. Thanks for the elucidation, Escapay.

I liked SofaKing's response. It was good. It was very good. In fact, it was SofaKing good, I laughed out loud.

Mind you, I'm not surprised if people are boycotting the Bible. It's a very violent book. Hardly suitable for family consumption... Much better that the kiddies should be brought up on copious amounts of Muppetry instead. I had a Muppetational upbringing* and it never did me any harm!

* In fact, I'm old enough to have seen many of the episodes on first transmission. I feel so old...

I had to re-read that a couple times before I laughed out loud!

My Muppetational upbringing as a kid was near-weekly viewings of a compilation VHS called "Muppet Moments", with Kermit and Fozzie cleaning out the attic, but every time they find something to throw away, they remember how it was used in a Muppet sketch!

*sigh* Fond memories of that tape...think I'll go watch it...

I just bought Season 1 today! I'm bummed it's not the fuzzy cover, but oh well. I hope the Piggy one is fuzzy!

Hmm... I wonder if we'll get Disney Movie Reward points for this?

Yes, we will. DisneyMovieRewards.com has a section that shows upcoming DVDs and how much they're worth. The Muppet Show's worth 125 points.

I can't wait for this set! It's been way too long.

Seriously I remember watching the season 1 set the summer BEFORE my high school senior year and I graduated high school almost exactly a year ago today (well exactly in 2 days  :P )

I hope too many musical numbers don't get cut this time around
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

Here's the muppetcentral.com review for the Season 2 set.

The best news seems to be that, unlike Season 1 all episodes are UNCUT. YAY!

http://muppetcentral.com/articles/revie ... on_2.shtml

I so want a fuzzy one!! I wasn't able to get one of the fuzzy Season 1 sets, but I want a fuzzy Piggy with sparkly eyes.
