PETA takes Disney to task for SNOW BUDDIES

Post by Bebopgroove »

Tell Disney to Dump Dead-Dog Movie 'Snow Buddies'

PETA is demanding that Disney, a company that has built its reputation on being animal-friendly, dump distribution plans for Snow Buddies, a Vancouver-based production in which dozens of purebred puppies have fallen ill and several have already died from the deadly parvovirus.

Dozens of underage puppies were imported for use in Snow Buddies from an unlicensed commercial breeder in New York. When the puppies began falling ill, an additional 20 puppies allegedly were imported. Reports out of Vancouver indicate that almost all the puppies are now sick and that many have already died, yet the filming goes on. Disney plans to distribute this movie in time for the winter holiday season.

Let Disney know that killing animals for entertainment is not acceptable. Disney should sever all its connections with Snow Buddies, making the distribution deal for this movie as dead as the puppies who may have suffered horribly and eventually died.

Killing animals for entertainment might not be acceptable, but killing PETA members for entertainment certainly is. :pink:

By the way, what the hell is an "underage puppy"? A canine who can't legally vote yet? A pooch who has to use a fake ID to get a case of beer?

I really doubt PETA as well after I saw a video on their website showing slaughtered, bloody cows claiming that's what happens when they are milked. Someone was a little misinformed there. I think they mean well and I really don't believe in animal abuse but they seem a little too radical to believe at face value.

So killing a person like me would be entertainment? Hm..

At least PETA does all they can for the animals.. without them there wouldnt' be undercover footage about what happens behind the scenes... and they've accomplished alot. I highly respect them and what they do.

And yes, dairy cows can get bloodied... they're treated like mere products and live in very poor conditions.. plus their udders are attached to bulky milking machinery and they're injected with hormones that cause them to get mastitis, which is a painful infection. And when dairy cows can't product milk anymore, they're sent to slaughter. It's not your mom and pop's farm.

LOL.. I found this hilarious too! Not the killing puppies, but the underage thing!

This actually refers to the amount of time a puppy is supposed to be with it's mom drinking her milk I believe. They need a certain weening period. This is why no puppies are sold before the age of 8-10 weeks (not sure the actual time)

Exceedingly entertaining, yes. Quite a laff riot, too.

Perhaps you're willing to have YOUR udders milked, in order to feed the world? No?

What makes you think my mom and pop had a farm?

I bet Luke is not ok with this... He has warned Papibear in another topic that I saw that he/she is not to pick fights and try to pick words more carefully. I guess the phrase comes to mind... Engage mind before mouth err uhh typing and submitting in this case

Also PapiBear apparently you took the Movie The Condemned with Stone Cold Steve Austin a bit too much to heart.....

This is the sort of over-reaching bs that makes it impossible for myself to have anything but disdain for People Eating Tasty Animals. They do more harm than good for animals.

Well, maybe in some places but I have a dairy farm not even a quarter of a mile down the road and there are no bloody cows anywhere there.

You mean like when they put explosives or debris in a farmer's field so the farmer dies when he plows just so he doesn't plow over any field mice? Or how about when they blow up a lab or burn down an animal texting place? The thing I find to be the most insane thing they do is when they throw paint on people who wear furs in an attempt to ruin the fur coat. Uh, these people obviously have no problem buying furs and if you destroy their fur coat they're just going to buy another one. Duh!

Peta exploits the love people have for animals to serve their own agenda. The leadership of Peta are people who would rather human beings be wiped from the face of the earth for the protection of the animals than anything else just like the Global Warming crowd. Much of the time when Peta sticks their nose in where it doesn't belong they make things worse for the animals anyway.

Peta is one of the biggest frauds around. It's a toss up between them and the abortion movement. And do any of you pro abortion PETA members find it to be a double standard to be so much about animal rights that you don't want to milk a cow for fear it will harm it in some way yet not think twice about killing an unborn child? That is just unreal.

How could no one have brought this up yet:

http://www.petakillsanimals.com/

PETA has no credibility. This is not from decades ago, but this year. PETA is about an agenda, and they exploit young people (mostly students) to go and do their leg work. They are a dispicable organization who value animal life above human life and do more harm than good.

Well, this thread went to hell rather quickly...

But what IS Snow Buddies? This sounds like a combination of Snow Dogs and Air Buddies. A cross over maybe?

Well I probably contributed to the chaotic Heck in this thead which I think I should have listened to the little voice inside of me saying "Don't reply to this post...chaotic heck will only come to it if you do Disneyboy20022"

Anyway Snowbuddies is a Sequel to Airbuddies... This is all I know about this film... what the plot is maybe someone more knowledgeble about this film could reply to what the subplot or what the heck the purpose of this film is.....
