Has anyone read The Road by Cormac McCarthy? The book won the pulitzer prize early April, and seems very interesting. I have been debating reading it after I finish In Cold Blood.

I'm currently reading The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis. I'm planning on reading all 7 Narnia books. The first is interesting as this is where the White Witch is introduced as well as Azlan.

I started "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" and it's pretty good. It's interesting about how Elphaba is growing up.

I'm now reading The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. I'm at the part where Lucy meets Tumnus, the Faun.

I am currently reading Rilla of Ingleside, the last book in the Anne of Green Gables series. This is the only Green Gables novel that I could not find a copy of in my younger years.

I try to read at least one "classic" novel a year. This year, I just finished A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I definitely recommend it.

I just finished reading The Phantom of the Opera after listening to the music from the play so much (and seeing it live a few weeks ago). It's such a good book with so much more than the play, like the scenes with the torture room and the Persian who helps Raoul.

Right now I am reading the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. I was reading The Lost Years of Merlin # 5: The Wings of Merlin before the school library so suddenly took it away from me. I'm sorry, I need a moment.

P.S. I also found that they had all the great classics and collections in the area I never looked at. I thought it was only kiddy stuff. Boy, was I wrong.

I'm almost finished with the first Gossip Girl, by Cecily von Ziegesar. It's ridiculous how addicting this series is turning out to be.

I just finished reading Meet the Mertzes: The Life Stories of I Love Lucy's Other Couple. Very interesting! It started off talking about Vivian Vance and William Frawley's lives before I Love Lucy and eventually built up to their off-camera relationship. I knew they dispised each other, but I didn't realize it was to such an extent! I'm glad I found this book. At first I was looking for two seperate biographies on both Viv and Bill, but it looks like there isn't anything written up on Bill and I could only find Viv's for about $40 at the cheapest.

I'm thinking about picking up a copy of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.
