So ... How Many Disney DVDs do YOU Own?

Post by indianajdp »

Just curious how everyone's Disney Collections look these days...and I bet I'm probably in the middle-of-the-pack as far as number of movies owned (we own 43). Obviously this includes the Disney Treasures and Vault Disney Titles.

I counted around 70 "Disney DVD" titles (Ultimate Toy Box & Fantasia Anthology are 2 titles each, for instance).

A lot. :o

I only own 17. I've been waiting for Special Edition and Platinum sets to come out. The only barebones discs I bought were Lady and the Tramp (which got lost on a plane flight last X-mas :( ) and A Bug's Life.

I currently own:
  • Beauty and the Beast - Platinum Edition
    Dumbo - 60th Anniversary Edition
The Emperor's New Groove - The Ultimate Groove
    Fantasia Anthology
    Snow White - Platinum Edition
    Tarzan - Collector's Edition
    Treasure Planet
    A Bug's Life
    Monsters, Inc. - Collector's Edition
Toy Story - The Ultimate Toy Box
Disney Treasures - Behind the Scenes
    Disney Treasures - Complete Goofy
    Disney Treasures - Davy Crockett
Disney Treasures - Mickey Mouse in Black and White
    Disney Treasures - Silly Symphonies

Good God...I didn't know there were even that many available!
Maybe I'm wrong with my estimates, 43 might put me on the low end :D

I have about 43.
Roughly :P

That is counting classics, Pixar and sequels.

I have another 10 or so on order, so let us say closer to 53 by the end of next month.

I feel very lame for a number of reasons.

Sorry to disappoint, Luke :P

I buy a LOT of DVDs (that is way too many...ugh), but that is the Disney section. I missed out on a few Disney DVDs at initial release, so I am making up for lost time now, believe you me.

The funds have slowed down at the moment, but dear lord is there a lot of stuff coming out.

Plus I have my comic book addiction, law text books and only the best seats at the movies.

Disney is doing quite well out of me all things considered :)

I don't have many DVDs, because since I live in Brazil, I have to import most of the discs if I want good DVDs - and they cost A LOT of money! So, I just have 48 Disney DVDs (including the Fantasia box).
Region 4: 28 DVDs; Region 2: 2 DVDs; Region 1: 18 DVDs.

66 Disney Titles. If you threw in all Buena Vista (Hollywood, Dimension, Touchstone, Miramax) it would grow exponentially. I'd have a lot more Disney titles but I own NO cheapquels (only sequels are Toy Story, Rescuers, Fantasia). I also will not buy nonOAR except for the Moon Spinners (Hayley Mills will always be an exception though I hope they treat Summer Magic, That Darn Cat & In Search of The Castaways like PT & Pollyanna).

That's odd, my poll categories disappeared :?
And I left it blank so it would be an un-ending poll.

Oh well.
