Which classic shows does the Disney Channel air?

Post by Thorsten »

Hello

I need to knpw which classic shows (á la Mickey and Donald stories) are shown by the DC for my bother (who's older than me).

Since I don't watch anything animated I don't know how the shows are called.

"House of Mouse" ist't classic, is it?

regards,
Thorsten

There are no classic shows on the Disney channel, unfortunately.
Best Movies of 2009:
1. Moon
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. Coraline
5. Ponyo

They show The Little Mermaid and Timon and Pumbaa, but I don't know if that's what you mean by classic.

Sorry, but the Disney channel does not show many classic shows. I miss the old days of the disney channel when nothing sucked and there were not many original shows or movies.

Had to wrack my brain trying to remember what Silverstone was before I realized it was the show on The Famous Jett Jackson!

Ohhhhhh, Bug Juice ruled!

And they do show the older movies. I've seen Johnny Tsunami and Stepsister from Planet Weird, along with some others, on the Disney Channel in the past few months. They're actually coming out with a sequel to Johnny Tsunami.

Does anyone remember the short-lived game show Mad Libs? I used to like watching that show a lot. I also remember a show called (something) Makomba.

That would be "Oomba (pseudo-African for "ask") Mokomba". Also, believe it or not, they do sometimes play past Disney movies. They just don't play the A movies, mostly it's the B movies, especially those from 1970s and '80s (i.e., "The Aristocats", "The Rescuers", "The Fox and the Hound" and "Oliver and Co.") and those made from no earlier than 1995 (in other words, from "Pocahontas" onward). Sometimes they play "Mulan" (which they will do tonight, I heard) and "The Emperor's New Groove". And on Easter they played "Alice In Wonderland". So to say that they NEVER play any good Disney movies on The Disney Channel these days is a great white lie; they do still play Disney animated films, just mostly lesser films.

Gaaaah, I missed Stepsister From Planet Weird? No fair! I hate my work schedule. I also used to love So Weird, I wish they would go back to playing it.

i wish they would bring So Wierd and all of those greats back just like Toon Disney needs to show the older stuff more instead of late at night or early in the morning and they really need to get rid of non-disney shows like Jackie Chan Adventures.

I miss those classics too. The original movies are dumb now. I miss Brink! I always wanted to be a Soul Skater back then.
