Name your favorite song from a disney movie.

Post by jennydumas »

Sorry if this has already been done..

You can either list one or just do a row of which you like the best, or your top ones or whatever.
Just like a river rushing straight into the sea.... I'm the one thing meant for you, and you for me

1. "Poor Unfortunate Souls" ~ The Little Mermaid
Just going by how many times I've played it, it would win my top ten.

2. "Sing Sweet Nightingale" ~ Cinderella
This unfairly goes pushed over for the sugar-coated "A Dream Is A Wish."

3. "Just Around the Riverbend" ~ Pocahontas
Again, this song often gets overlooked because of the title song "Colors of the Wind." Did I mention I love Judy Kuhn's voice?

4. "Baby Mine" ~ Dumbo
The only Disney song that can make me cry.

5. "I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)" ~ Hercules
If I didn't love Meg and the Muses and, well, everything about Hercules, I suppose I might hate this song.

6. "Part of That World" ~ The Little Mermaid
It's just a beautiful song that expresses the mermaid's personality, hopes and dreams. The ending's almost depressing, because, at the time, Ariel thinks she'll never have the chance to "explore that world up above."

7. "I'm Still Here" ~ Treasure Planet
I don't know why so many people seem to hate this song. It really fits Jim to a T (who's one of my favorite characters).

8. "Belle (Reprise)" ~ Beauty and the Beast
There's something extremely powerful about the song as the camera zooms above the trees.

9. "Go the Distance" ~ Hercules
The only thing I don't like about this song is how it skips periodically inbetween so that you don't hear Herc's voice that much.

10. "Honor To Us All" ~ Mulan
This establishes Mulan's entire society while also delivering a very enjoyable experience.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

I don't know of any sites that would have it, but if you know a good audio-ripping program, I can borrow the DVD from Kram and rip songs for you.

(And I also have "Ten Feet Off the Ground" since it was in the Classic Disney CD series)

I have that CD to Escapay (good series, sad to see them not continue it, but it didn't make enough money)

And no, I don't have an audio-ripping program.

I think my #1 favorite song from a Disney movie is "Tomorrow is Another Day" from The Rescuers.

But "Candle On the Water" from Pete's Dragon is a strong contender for 2nd place, with "You Belong to My Heart" from Three Caballeros probably in 3rd.
