These two caps are from DVDBeaver: (which conveniently had the Scarecrow!)

Wow, the 2005 transfer looks so clear and free of dirt. Thanks for sharing, the silent films kinda scare me but once I took another look, found it pretty interesting.

I watched the extra's of Zwartboek, Paul Verhoeven's latest film. It's released as Black Book in the US not too long ago (although I believe it doesn't have many screens). The extra's are very interesting. Especialy Paul's commentary.
Disney's musical Tarzan. Coming to Holland 2007.

Yeah, what Sky-Sky said. :P

Aside from those 3 extras, there's also a bonus cartoon (Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs), the the option to listen to the songs from the radio show on their own. But that's about it, and it's one of the more common bootlegs out there. Though I have come across copies that include version of the "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" sing-along from the VHS tapes (the original with the film, as well as the 90s remix set against Splash Mountain and the Matterhorn), as well as additional radio shows, and a boatload of extra cartoons.

Anyway, did some more today...

I read on another thread that a part of Song of the South is shown as an extra on the Alice in Wonderland ME . So I had to check that out. I think it was part of the "One Hour in Wonderland" special.[/b]

Titanic
Branching Pods - Watched all 61 of them (about 62 minutes altogether). This is only the second time I've seen these pods (first time was when I got the DVD in October 2005), and I forgot just how informative they are in such a little amount of time. I wasn't in the mood to watch the film, but after watching the pods, I found myself in the mood for Part Two, so I watched that in its entirety last night, then earlier this afternoon I watched Part One. Odd way of watching the film. Anyways, back to the pods, I really enjoyed them and really wish now more than ever that Ed Marsh's documentary was included in this set (Cameron nixed it at the last minute, boo!)

Alternate Ending - I figured I'd watch Part Two up until the ending, and switch to the alternate, to see how it'd feel. Now I'm glad the ending is shorter, it's more...final and bittersweet.

Deleted Scenes - Skipped a few, but watched most of them on the third disc. Really wish they'd have kept the extended Carpathia sequence as well as a couple shorter bits ("The First S.O.S", "Ida Strauss Won't Leave", and "How Dare You!" come to mind).

1912 News Reel - I love newsreels, especially fake ones like these. Was hilarious and fun to watch.

Videomatics: Sinking Sequence - it was great to see the sequence in its entirety instead of in the film itself. The commentary was interesting too.

All in all, the Titanic SCE is quite a fulfilling DVD experience, though it suffers from several things:

1. Region 1 excludes the Trailers/TV Spots and HBO special - I really wish they were all included, because I like promotional pieces (especially trailers). Instead, I have to make do with one singular trailer on the old single-disc, which I'm holding on to for that main reason (and in case I want to watch the film without switching discs)

2. Very little Leo - He makes plenty of appearances in behind the scenes footage, but I only found *one* interview with him (and it was a 1997 on-the-set one) in the Pods, and I haven't yet watched the other featurettes, though I imagine they're all vintage interviews. Would have loved to hear his thoughts on the film's impact to his career (what with him famously saying at one point that he regretted making the film, I think...), as well as his own memoirs of working on the film. Would have loved as well for a Leo/Kate commentary.

3. No Retrospective Documentary - it's like the pods are all these nice little appetiziers, bite-size snippets of a main course...but then we're told that there will be no main course. A retrospective documentary would have helped the set greatly, as the majority of what is offered is still greatly interesting (the technical featurettes, vintage EPK featurettes and the old Fox TV special), but doesn't offer that "look back" view on the film.

Doctor Who: Earthshock
Putting the Shock into Earthshock - one of my favorite Doctor Who documentaries, has a great set of interviews and recollections. I always make sure to watch it immediately after watching Earthshock, which is one of my favorite Doctor Who stories.

40th Anniversary Celebration - It's kind of strange watching clips of the show set to such a dance-club-remix version of the theme song.

Episode 5 - Silly and a bit sadistic.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventurs of Superman - Season One
Pilot Presentation - the short version of the pilot (only about 18 minutes or so) that they showed at ComicCon in 1993.
