I never grew up on this show, but it's still sad that he's passed. R.I.P.

I agree with you Jack.
I also never saw this show.
He taught and entertains so many children for many decades.
I best it was very educated that's why it last so long on television.
Rest in Peace (RIP) Captain Kangaroo.

It's sad. I used to LOVE that show when I was a little kid. I liked the moose (what was the moose's name anyway?) :?
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

I never grew up on this either, but allow me to offer this tribute:
  • Counting flowers on the wall,
That don't bother me at all.
Playing Solitaire till dawn,With a deck of fifty-one.
Smoking cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo.
Now, don't tell me I've nothing to do.

For some reason, I thought he was already dead. So, while it's sad news, I think I was sad a while ago, mistakenly.

No one could pull off the muttonchops look quite as well as the good Cap'n. He'll be missed!

Thanks wizzer. :) For the longest time today I was like "What the <bleep> was the moose's name in Captain Kangaroo?!" Mr. Moose got me hooked on tapioca pudding. I'm even eating some right now. My mom got it in bulk at Costco. I don't know how I'm going to finish it all though. I don't really like it when my mom buys food in bulk. I never finish any of it! It does save us money though.
