Hmm. I can't wait to see the trailer sans subtitles, Japanese voice over, and poor quality. Imelda Staunton looks/sounds fabulous, I can't wait to see her. She's my total favorite character I love to hate. The shot of Voldemort in a suit looks...odd and out of place, even for a Harry fantasy sequence. But I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt until I can see the movie.

I think the things exploding in this picture are all of the proclamations that Umbridge makes...TheSequelofDisney wrote:Hey, I have a question if anyone could help me. What in the world is this of:
I've read the book quite recently and don't remember anything like this. Anyone have an idea?
The new international trailer will be online at 9am today. Mugglenet will have links!!
The low-quality trailer looks fabulous! Everything is so awesome! Umbridge, Bellatrix, Voldemort, the thestrals, and especially the flight above London!!
Why can't it be July, like, now?

I just got REALLY excited after watching this!! Ralph Fiennes is so frighteningly good as Voldemort.

I absolutely love the new trailer. Finally we get to see more of the locations, and all those Voldemort scenes are fantastic. Especially the one at 9 3/4. This suit looks hot!!!

And the thestrals look amazing. Just like I imagined them. But I wish there was a bit more of Luna in the trailer, and of Bellatrix. But all in all a very good trailer, which makes me even more excited for this movie!

I second that. The image of all the proclamations will send a message to the audience of how many ridiculous rules Umbridge is setting. I'm curious as to why they blow up? I don't recall that in the book.numba1lostboy wrote:I think the things exploding in this picture are all of the proclamations that Umbridge makes...
Haven't seen the trailer. I'm trying really hard to not watch it, but Dottie mentioned Platform 9 3/4 which makes me want to watch it so bad! (I'm a nerd of stuff they put in the latest sequel that was used in a previous film.

I've seen the high-res version of the trailer, and man oh man is it fantastic. I loved the following:
- Hermione: "It's exciting, isn't it, breaking the rules?"
Ron: "Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?"
- Umbridge hexing the two kissing students and hexing the three other students she passes by
- Harry hallucinating and seeing Voldemort at Platform 9 3/4
- Umbridge's creepy school-girl giggle
- Voldemort (to Harry): "You will lose everything."
- Fred and George wrecking havoc in the Great Hall (fireworks and all, I think they explode the educational decrees)
- The brief glimpses of thestrals
- Sirius (to Harry): "It's your turn, now."
- Very brief glimpses of Harry and Hermione running from the forest, with the centaurs presumably chasing after them
- The brief snatches of the Department of Mysteries battle (including a brief second flash where we see Lupin restraining a devastated Harry)
I do have to complain about one scene -- the dementors that attack Harry and Dudley look a tad different than they previously were in POA (they're still wearing robes) but more thinner.
magicalwands, just see the trailer. It's amazing, proof that Michael Goldenberg is a far better HP adapter than Steve Kloves was, much darker and more in tune with the film's spirit. Or at the very least check out the numerous screencaps of it that are on Mugglenet.

the gigant structure seems to be Azkaban
The face seems to be a sort of Vodemort`s manifestation
About the Dementors..I think that considering they needed to hide or something they used the robes(even as an uniform) but now that they are on Voldy's side the need them no more and it also use it to frigthen even more to others

By the way, great secuence of Dumbledore disappearing with his phoenix

I stand by what i said before: it's because of Fred and George. They make them blow up when they make their spectacular escape.magicalwands wrote:I'm curious as to why they blow up? Best way to explain the dementors: new film=new director=new take on dementors.

I gave in, but it was worth it. Thank you azul017!numba1lostboy wrote:Best way to explain the dementors: new film=new director=new take on dementors.
My take on the dementors now, I think that was the dementor's "kissing" mode because its hood seemed to be missing and you could see the skull. At least I hope it is. I'd hate it if they changed the looks of the dementors...even slightly.

Yeah, I can't see Dumbledore saying "Please" to Snape if he were really a traitor. I can't see Dumbledore ever begging a real enemy for anything, he'd simply not say a word.Isidour wrote:definitely, that would explain why Dumbledore was begging at the end of the 6th book, and why he hates being called a coward
I want to read all the books again before Book VII comes out!

I saw the UK trailer and this US one has a lot more info in it and makes me more excited for it. I can't wait! Only about 90 more days.numba1lostboy wrote:Mugglenet has posted the new US trailer for OOTP. They also have a spiffy poster that popped up on yahoo.com today.
Be sure to check out the image gallery for OOTP, too. It has a great many high-res stills from the movie!
