This will likely see a re-release probably around the same time that TLM III will come out. At least that's what all of the other platinum's sequel's have (except for Cindy II)/

I guess I'll just have to keep searching. I already own the Collector's Edition of Atlantis, thanks to the Disney Movie Club. I also noticed the always out-of-stock (yet, still listed) TENG: CE DVD in the DMC. It taunts me and I hate it.

TLM 2 should've been re-released when the platinum edition of TLM came out.like they did with Lady and The Tramp 2's re-release.

but they do have it on a boxset in the U.K which was released a month after TLM's platinum release(i wish they did that here in the u.s)!

I don't understand why TLM2 wasn't rereleased, when L&tT2 was and "Return to Never Land" will be. I wish that CII would be rereleased, since I only had the VHS and I just sold most of my VHS...it's such an expensive DVD to find.

I think they're holding off on releasing TLM2 until the 3rd part comes out. Then they'll probably put together a box set of all 3. I wish they would have done this with Cinderella as well. Doesn't really make sense not to..

Maybe they have other plans for their trillogy sets?

You paid way too much.

I bought my copy of Atlantis:CE for $9.99 pre-owned at CD Warehouse, and in pristine condition.

No, they're not OOP, but yes, you should have bought them. They're two of the best collector's editions Disney has done.

No, they are not out-of-print, though they are difficult to find in most stores. I'm sure that if you had gotten them you would have paid too much, since I'm sure they were priced at around $30. They are only really worth about $20, so I would look somewhere else. Last time I checked, someone in the Trade forum had the Collector's Set of "Atlantis."

I forgot about the pricing issue. They are indeed $30 at Best Buy. In my case though, they're the only store selling them in my area and I have terrible luck buying things over the internet. If you don't mind buying online, though, you can get a better price.

My story in Baton Rouge had about 15 of each. I don't know, but has anyone else notice that disney has re-designed the atlantis ce. It's now being made for a standard dvd case, even though disney is still putting them in the double case. The disney dvd symbol is now at the top of the spine, and i believe that their is a pic on bottom.

I'm not sure what you mean by this...do you mean they now are using a regular sized DVD case but for 2 discs, like with "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast", or that they just redesigned the cover for the old thicker two disc case, like the one used for "Snow White"? Either way, I've never seen a redesign, and I don't know why Disney would bother doing that.

The cover has been re-sized to fit in a case like the little mermaid's but disney is still putting it in a thicker case like snow whites. Disney has also did this with "the others" and "jay and silent bob strike back"

The ones at my Best Buy still look like the original that I have. One thing that does concern me, however, is that when you shake the box (I always do this to make sure the disc isn't loose in the case.) it doesn't seem as if there's an insert in there. I shook a copy of Dinosaur because I was going to buy it but passed because I saw the 3 for $30 deal they were running at the time and did that instead. Does anyone know if they've stopped putting the inserts in there? Normally it wouldn't be much of a deal but those early collector's discs had nice inserts.

I was at my Best Buy last Saturday and I also noticed the Dinosaur and Atlantis dvds. I did not buy them because I dont like either film very much and I did not feel like paying 30 dollars for a movie I did not like.

Rocketman DVD at Best Buy

Post by geicos27 »

I don't know if this is old news or not, but I found earlier today at Best Buy 2 copies of Rocketman with Harland Williams. I bought one. It says "Disney Movie Club Exclusive". I wasn't aware you could buy this outside of the club. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I never really cared much for this movie. It was terrible and probably one of the worst Disney movies ever produced. Thats just my opinion, though.
