I watched the video a couple days ago- I was also shocked that they included the "G word", and it is brave. Why'd they have to re-record the song? Is it because the old one is, well, old, and it isn't in stereo or something? I haven't been to WDW in so long since I've been sick since the end of March, but I'll hopefully be going to Epcot soon (the concert series has started!!!), and I can't wait to go on the ride. I love how the ride encorporated some of the stuff from the previous ride there, so it hasn't forgoten its roots.

Yes, soundtrack age could well be a contributing factor, although another likely reason would be that since the ride features newly recorded dialogue from Donald, Panchito and Jose, it made sense to re-record the song with the new actors just so the voices match throughout the ride.

I third being very surprised when I heard them still using the "G word".

They rerecorded "Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee (An Actor's Life for Me)" without the word "gay" so I wonder why they included it here.

Maybe The Three Caballeros saying "gay" aren't as impactful as characters from Pinocchio saying "gay"?

I know that Tony Anselmo voices Donald, but does anyone know who provides the voices of Panchito and Jose Carioca? I know that on House of Mouse, they're voiced by Carlos Alazraqui (Panchito) and Rob Paulsen (Jose), respectively, but do Carlos and Rob again voice the characters in this ride?

I believe you are correct and Carioca is voiced by Rob Paulsen and Panchito by Carlos Alazraqui, although I couldn't be certain. It could be Rob Paulsen providing both voices.

I, myself, am rather disappointed to see the ride changed, even if it does seem to be a fairly slight alteration. There was just something so deliciously cheesy about the original that I wish more people recognized. That isn't to say, of course, that I'll be boycotting the new ride in any way. I am, however, glad the old version was still open last September so I was able to ride it one (or three) last time(s).

I hear Eric Goldberg at Walt Disney Feature Animation directed this. :) Sweet! :D Is this true?

I was on the ride yesterday---I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome. It's still pretty similar to the old ride, but with the Three Caballeros. I love how it's more of a Disney ride than it was before. It made me very happy! (My husband was disappointed, though...he wanted...

I know one person who would love -- nay, ADORE -- that ride: my sister. She LOVES Donald Duck and "The Three Caballeros" is one of her all-time favorite Disney films. I think she'd LOVE this attraction.
