UD Main Page wrote: Want to attend the world premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End next month at Disneyland? You can... for the price of $1,500 per person. Tickets are now available online; all earnings go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Admission also includes complimentary parking, access to six Disneyland attractions and a private pre-screening buffet/party, reserved seats in the outdoor amphitheatre, popcorn, and a soft drink.
:o OMG! $1500!

While I'm a huge Pirates fan, I hope being a big fan doesn't define someone who spends $1500 on one showing or someone who's willing to sacrifice getting into a group of insane/pitiful teenaged girls screaming to see Mr. Bloom.

First thing I asked myself is I wonder what happens if there's a big thunderstorm that day?

That actually only costs $96.38, but you gotta make the dinner and bring it to their hotel room. Also, according to an insider, you also have to wear some slinky red lingerie and sing "I Wanna Be Loved By You" in Russian before dessert.

:P

LOL... I don't know if it was mentioned, but the tickets are so expensive because this is a charity event. Disney is subsidising ALL the costs, so everyones entire $1500 goes to the charity :)

That being said, I still don't have that kinda money, but I'm sure lots of people in California do!

A little fact about California: There's about a 0.01% chance it'll come close to raining during the summer of California.

Well, I certainly couldn't when I use to live there!

Well I didn't mean EVERYONE in California! I know that there are definately some people who are well off in the state. Considering just the price of housing alone!

Well at least all of the $1500 goes directly to charity. Still too much though....

Another benefit to attending this charity event, would be the 2007 tax deduction! Being tax day, I thought I would throw that one out there, too.

 Maybe the more economical solution is just to purchase the dvd at Walmart for $13.77, when it becomes available later this year.

It costs $1500 to attend the premiere as someone who'll walk the red carpet then sit down to watch the film. But I'm pretty sure park attendees need only to pay to get in the park and watch from the *other* side of the red carpet. You know, the much more crowded side filled with throngs of screeching fans. That's probably what dizfan mean, since he went to the last one as well.

Would be interesting if UD was going to this event. And with Pluto Region1 in California, I'm hoping that will indeed happen!

GOOD POINT.

Then you just might see me there. Honestly, if I do attend, you'll recognize me in an instant.
