WB Two-Disc Special Editions
I figured since some of the most knowledgable DVD viewers post at this forum, you might know about Warner Brothers' schedule for upcoming Two-Disc SE's. I already know about Feb. 3's "My Fair Lady" and some more Charlie Chaplin films in March, but I was wandering if anyone knew beyond that. I'm particularly curious about the following titles:
Gone With The Wind
2001 A Space Odyssey
The Maltese Falcon
Bonnie and Clyde
North by Northwest
A Streetcar Named Desire
A Clockwork Orange
The Philadelphia Story
Rebel Without a Cause
Stagecoach
Network
An American in Paris
Ben-Hur
The Wild Bunch
The Jazz Singer (Never before released on DVD)
GoodFellas
The Seachers
If anyone knows anything about DVD rereleases of these titles or about this year's WB 2-Disc schedule please let me know. Thanks.

What would this wretched world be like without Disney?
This is a rumored WB 2-Disc SE release schedule, but since there's SO many listed, we should take this with a grain of salt, though I think it's possible for the majority of these to be true:
April
Matrix Revolutions
June
THX-1138
The Searchers
Blazing Saddles
Three Godfathers
Wyatt Earp
Fearless Vampire Killers
The Last Samurai
The Marx Brothers Collection
July
Heat
Goodfellas
The Name of the Rose
August
Jailhouse Rock
Viva Las Vegas
Tarzan the Ape Man
Johnny Weismuller Box Set
Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan
Enter the Dragon
Cleopatra Jones
Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires
Purple Rain
Under the Cherry Moon
Graffiti Bridge
September
After Hours
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
Who's That Knocking at My Door?
The Lost Boys
Smallville: The Compete Second Season
October
Troy
The Errol Flynn Collection
November
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Gone With the Wind
Forbidden Planet and King Kong are also rumored, but with no determined months, yet.
I do think we'll see a lot of these titles in 2004, but I doubt we'll see all because there's just too many releases, particularly in June and August. We'll see...

I think out of all of those, these are the ones I am most likely to get.Disneykid wrote:This is a rumored WB 2-Disc SE release schedule, but since there's SO many listed, we should take this with a grain of salt, though I think it's possible for the majority of these to be true:

Really happy to see that some earlier Scorsese is getting released - hopefully they WILL be 2-disc SEs.
I think I have to applaud WB for doing some great work over the last few years in the DVD field. They were one of the first to enter onto the market, and with the exception of the snapper case, they have really contributed to the market in a positive way.
The Looney Tunes set, upcoming Hanna Barbera stuff and the 2-discers really show what the DVD format can offer the collector/film fan, and I wish more studios would follow their lead (except for the snapper case).

Meet Me in St. Louis 2-Disc set comes out April 6th from Warner Bros. comes with intro from Liza Minnelli and Director Vincente Minelli, Commentary tracks, music-only track, featurettes, including the 1972 TV special "Hollywood: The Dream Factory", The 1930 movie short "bubbles" featuring Garland at age 7!, songwriters singing "skip to my lou" in New York in 1941, Garland historian John Fricke 50th anniversary documentary, Plus more!
I'm getting The Last Samurai. Any movie where I can stare at Tom Cruise for 3 hours is fine by me! And it looks like I'm going to have to pick up Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for my little cousin. They just got a DVD player (after many months of me convincing them you get better picture quality with DVD) and they're looking for DVDs to christen the DVD player. I've already gotten them a few.
Dragon, not lizard. I don't do that tongue thing.

Here's a website that shows a image of Smallville Season 2 on DVD.
Here's the site. http://www.kryptonsite.com/columns112603.htm
It says Smallville Season 2 could come out during Summer about April-September.
I love Smallville it's the best show on the WB and on television.
I also wonder when will 7th Heaven comes out on DVD.

Has anyone seen or heard any rumors about a 2nd box edition of Warner Legends and/or further 2 disc special editions that feature "Warner Night at the Movies" like this past years box set containing "Yankee Doodle Dandy," "Robin Hood" and "Treasure of the Sierra Madre?" Those were all really cool, and I loved all of the supplemental materials as well. I'm hoping they'll do more of the "Warner Night at the Movies."
