The New Parade in Disneyland Resort Paris !

Post by Atlantica »

Here is the new parade in Disneyland Paris!

http://www.dlrp.fr/actu_once_upon_a_dre ... _1083.html

It looks just wonderful! I love the new Ariel part of the float; very simple and beautiful. Alice in Wonderland and the Villians floats were highlights as well. The Princess one was dissapointing; the same Princesses all grouped together, with quite a dull float compared to the others. Though they did vary the 'Princess' music though, Part of Your World played partly on the float! And they usually just stick to Cinderella, Snow White And Sleeping Beauty scores! Wooo!

Anyway, hope you guys like it!

I'm not sure, I loved the Princess Parade, and it's going to take some getting used to each princess not having her own float. Not too sure with some of those dresses either? What's going on with Belle's gown, the old one was much more authentic.

I really miss Dancin' A Catchy Rhythm too. That really got the atmosphere going.

Oh well, at least I caught The Princess Parade on a high, in mid-March over 5 consecutive afternoons with gorgeous weather.

I'm sure this will grow on me. Doesn't help that the weather is grotty in the video, and a video can never capture the feeling of actually being there.

Queen Rahel - you said everything I was going to say!!!

I saw the gate fly open too (i kinda like parade bloopers), Ariel's tail was a little too cartoony, but not the worst I've seen. Maleficent's costume was the biggest surprise to me in the costume department - so different! Her horns were HUGE! I'm surprised she could stand up! And Figment hidden in the final float? Pure genius! A true hidden gem!

The floats were so beautiful, some were better then others, sight-line wise they weren't as great. e.g. Pooh was partially blocked out by the partition page until the last minute when he went by, and the trees around Aladdin and Jasmine made them hard to see, but I did love it!

I thought this parade made such a nice change, I mean, come on, they're been re-using those old "wonderful world of disney" parade floats for YEARS!
It's about time they got new ones!

I agree with you 100% on the music; 'Dancin' will be the song I will always associate with the parade. It really gets you into the mood for the parade. But, having authentic Disney songs is good as well. :) Chante Cest Noel is the song for the Christmas Parades as well. Will they keep that parade all year, or do you think they will change it for Christmas?

I love the new music - Dancin' was great, but I'll get used to this music easily.
As for the Christmas parade, I think they'll re-use the old floats from the "wonderful world..." parade, to make a change for christmas. Either that or they'll decorate the "once upon a dream" floats.
