Avatar Question

Post by Prince Phillip »

Well, I'm guessing that the Avatar is the picture and I have a question about that too,but first...
I don't Understand the thing above that and below the site ID name. For the longest time mine said, "member" while people who had joined long before me said, "newbie". Now mine says "Gold Collection" While others say "Special Edition". Does this depend on the number of posts one posts. Have I been promoted to Gold Collection, and will eventually be promoted to Special Edition due to the number of my posts, or does it have more to do with how long I have been a mamber. In that case what is the deal with the "Newbie"s who have been around since the beggining of April. Also, were do you find the pictures you post up like the 4 moive shots you have around the site title, that change sometimes. Also do you think you could add some good sleeping beauty Avatars to the gallery. My first one was of prince phillipe fighting Maleficent, but it was WAY too big, and just not of good quality any way.
Thanks. I think I am going to keep mine the same for a while, it is always nice to have or see something constant while everything else is changing, but after Sleeping Beauty comes out, I'm thinking of doing something Aladdin, or maybe just a different Sleeping Beauty one. I really like mine, I would have loved to purchase the Sericel when it was available, however, the money was, and still is, not. :(

I've just added 8 Sleeping Beauty avatars. Hope you like them.

The ranking below your name is solely based on # of Posts.

Malificent is definitely one of my favorite villains, although I love the all the best equally (Mr. Contradictory), and this avatar is very Malificent and I needed a change, but I was wondering if there was a way you could add some Frollo ones to the gallery. I particularly like a certain image where he is giving an infuriating sneer with his teeth clinched tight with pure hate in his eyes (don't remember which part of the film this is in unfortunately). Sorry for any inconvenience.[/img]

I think I can picture what you're saying.

Sulley, here is a link for Kerri's Disney Avatars. Lots of good ones to choose from, including a handful of Frollo. Hopefully you like one of them.

When you go to change your avatar, choose to upload from URL, not link to offsite, as the webmaster asks us not to link directly. Or you can save the image to your pc and then choose to upload from your machine.

I've been getting them from Disney's press files and then just selecting a portion and resizing to 100 x 100.

I'm sure there are plenty of great avatar sites out there, but I don't plan on stealing the work of others, naturally. :)

I'll see if I can find some good quality Hunchback pics, Sulley.

Thanks guys, but there's a problem.

Excuse me for my slight computer ignorance, but how am I supposed to upload from the URL if there is no link to the direct image? I entered the URL with the page of Hunchback images, and obviously it didn't work. All it said was "A connection could not be made to the URL you gave"

I tried saving it to my hard drive but then it said that it was over 10 KB.
Anyways, the good news is I found the avatar I'm looking for. It's the Frollo picture on the far left and one row up from the bottom of the page, but I would also like to know how to upload from the URL properly in the future.

You need the URL of the image file, not the page. To do that, if you're using Internet Explorer, right-click to "Properties" and copy the Address (URL) from there. It might not still work if it's too big, but you can compress it with a photo-editing program.

Sulley, I guess you could right click and save the picture to your machine and then upload it?
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

That's exactly the one I wanted, but the site says a connection could not be made to the URL I gave, which is the same one you listed there.

Most DVD software players (on a pc) have a 'capture' button if you want to get a pic of a frame from ur favourite scene to turn into an avatar

That's cool I wish I could do that. My computer was suppose to come with a DVD-ROM, it's along story, anyway it doesn't have one  .

Luke I was wondering if it would be possible for you to get an avatar shot of Ariel and Eric lying on the beach just after she saves him. I'm not sure if you were waiting for it's DVD debut, to load up Little Mermaid Avatars, but if it wouldn't be any trouble I wouldn't mind taking a look at it, for when this one gets tired. Also a good Aladdin one might be nice, but I don't want to get to far ahead of myself, or give you too much to do. 8)

AAAARRRRGGGGG!!! Why can't I find any decent Price Avatars. Just the prince, be it phillip, charming, valliant, eric, adam, whatever!!??!! It is very annoying when going from sight to sight, and the majority of all the avatars are for females!!!! Ahhh ha ha  . I want some good Prince Phillip Avatars ( Luke I like the two you have, but I've done the one, and the other is too similair) But not just Phillip I wouldn't mind others, but it just seems like most of the Avatars are geared towards girls. I mean some of them are nice but I think I would get weird if all the guys had Avatars of the princess. (Although I did see some nice looking ones of Ariel, a few were airbrush, and though about displaying them, but then again, it's the weird factor) If I had the technology or the means, I would make my own avatar page, and most of them would be the larger ones, and scenes from the movie, good quality, not those cheap looking ones, that aren't even from the movie. And there would be plenty of guy ones as well as lady ones  . Uh well.... enough for now...
