inspirational quotes from Disney movies, books, or Walt

Post by poco »

All,

I am in the process of gathering some inspirational quotes so I can place them on some boards at work. I want the staff of the hospital to be uplifted as they work the day. I've got a couple of quotes from Alice in Wonderland (more specifically from Lewis Carroll) and was wondering if any of you had some quotes that you think might work.

For example,

"Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't care much where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

I've got some good quotes from other people (like this week I am putting up Martin Luther King, Jr. quotes) but would really like some Disney quotes.

If you have any other quotes (Disney or not) I would love to see them here! I might use them!

Thanks Stashone.

Here is one I came up with:

"There is no use in trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things."
"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was you age, I always did it for half and hour a day. Why, sometimes I've beleived as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

Good idea! Here's a few - mostly from my favorite wise monkey . . .

"Hakuna Matata" - The Lion King (of course)

Simba: "That's not my father. That's just my reflection."
Rafiki: "Nooo. Look harder. You see, he lives in you."
-The Lion King

"Oh, yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it."
-The Lion King

"The names Cruuuuuuush. Emphasis on the U. But you can call me Crush."

"Asante sana, squash banana, wewe nugu, mimi apana!"

"How we deal with death is at least as important as how we deal with life, wouldn't you say? " - Kirk, ST II

"You either live life fully, face to the wind, with skinned knees, bruises and all or you turn your back to it all, wither away and die. " - Captain Christopher Pike, Pilot/Menagerie
