At Home:

My cousin and uncle leaving their stereos or t.v on full blast and than leaving to do something else

My cousin when she's playing a video game, than goes downstairs to her room to go on the computer for hours and than expects nobody to touch her game while she's gone   There's 6 other people in the house not just her :x :x

When I finally get two moments to myself my Aunt always seems to find 10 more things for me to do despite the fact my cousin is laying on her butt doing nothing useful  :x

My Friends:

Thinking they can show up anytime just because I don't go out for hours on end everyday

When they let the phone ring 100 times - I'm not answering for a reason

When they phone and decide they're coming over without getting a Yes, thats fine from me, than they don't show up because they found something better to do

Around Town:

People who ram their arm to grab something in front of me just because they don't want to say "Excuse Me" or "Could you please pass me that movie?"

People who walk slowly

Mothers who walk side by side with huge sidewalk hogging strollers, since they expect you to go onto the road since you don't have "priority"

The town council raising taxes 8% because they made the mistake of ripping apart all of the town parks than did a half-ass job of fixing two of them

I'll figure out more later though

-Double negatives

-Me and you instead of You and I

-People who like bad movies, with no reasoning behind their likenings (cough Epic Movie, Wild Hogs, Ghost Rider, Premonition, Norbit, etc).
Best Movies of 2009:
1. Moon
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. Coraline

STUPID CARTOONS LIKE SPONGEBOB. When I'm a mother, I'm going to outlaw Spongebob for my kids.

blackcauldron85 wrote:I'd rather march in the cold than in the heat. We played in a (I think it was) St. Patrick's Day parade in middle school, and it snowed (I'm from Massachusetts originally). Clarinet and oboe players (I think the oboe players) can't wear gloves, since you have to cover the holes. That can make a person jealous, to see the other instrument players wearing gloves...grrr...! I need to play more...it is fun!
Just so you know, it's not oboe players. People cannot mach with oboes because they are so tempermental as far as tuning, humidity, etc. Not to mention, they are normally so quiet, that a composer will not write marching music for oboes nor will a band director have a oboe march. That's why many people that play double reed (oboe, bassoon, or occataional English Horn) instruments play something else during marching season (drum line, colorguard (flags), some other instrument, etc.) I'm really that I might have come off as kind of a know-it-all with band, but I happen to be an oboeist in my high school band. (The one and only one to boot!) :D

By the way, you CAN wear gloves when marching and playing the clairinet; you just need the ones without finger holes! :P And I think the other instrument you were thinking of was the flute, btw. (Which I also know how to play as well as the alto sax). Our band director actually makes ALL wind players (flute, clairent, and all sax players) wear gloves without fingerholes in the winter when it's really cold. So, it is possible!

Anyway, now that I'm done with my band rant for the day, I'm sorry to say that I can't contribute to the actual topic right now. (Working on proofing my paper that's due for English tommorow!). I promise i'll post a "pet peeve" list this week though!!

Here's one of my biggest pet peeves:

People standing behind you trying to read everything you type! My Dad is always doing this, most of the time I back the chair up or "accidentally" bash him hard enough so he leaves, but not hard enough to hurt him

I know, I hate that too. I have this happen when I type at school. I do not want anyone reading my work. It's none of their business, unless it's a teacher, then it's different.

Another pet peeve is when my dog Fancy licks the couch. It's so annoying!!

I know what you mean QueehRahel, in my building there's only two other apartments on our floor, but you wouldn't know that since they come up and down every half hour and they STOMP UP AND DOWN every time, the most annoying part is the 8 year old son that runs up and down the hallway just because he feels like it :x :x

I'm tempted to just sit outside all day and make them pay a toll  There's a second stairwell they can go up, but it's on the other side of the building. Oh well, I just yell at them when they go stomping past, and amazingly it works :D Oh, and back to being on topic, one more pet peeve, is when I can't find the clicker just to realize it's right where I left it....beside me  :x

Here's one of my pet peeves:

1) Every morning I got in the shower, my sister is hogging the shower for like 35 minutes and what do I get when I'm entering the shower? COLD WATER! I repeat; COLD WATER!!!! I hate cold waters during shower time. It starts to annoy me.

2)Stepping on dog poop while walking across the hallway - Seriously, I used a baby wipe to clean my feet from dog poop. It's so disgusting to see a pile of poop when everyone in the house didn't know it was there. Peee-U! Same goes for vomit from my dog and cat. Blech! :headshake:

3) Public Domain dvds - Its not very annoying to me but its kinda reppitive to see the same type of DVDs in the dollar bins at Wal-Mart.

4) Blaring radio from my sister's room at night - I'm a lite sleeper so I told her to turn down the radio but she never listens. I have to stay up until she's finally asleep so I walk there and turn it off. Same goes for the TV.

5) My mother's constant snoring at night - Same thing as number 4. It's so annoying hear her snoring while I was trying to sleep, so I closed the door. Ugh...

I hate this as well, but if I did that to (most of) the people who do that, I would be a literal sitting duck.

Let's see, I have lately also been hating when people get obsessed over something to the point that it annoys everyone else. Now, I'm guilty of many obsessions, but there's a difference. I don't make everyone else I know read every article I come across that is remotely connected to whatever I am currently liking.

I am talking about when someone goes crazy over, say, boats. So he pulls up every website he can about boats and forces all those around to listen to him read OUT LOUD each website in its entirety, even though said unfortunates are perfectly capable of reading. Then he makes you watch (or at least pay attention to if you happen to be in the room) boring movies about the making of boats. Whenever he sees a boat, he launches into a speech about just how that boat was made and what it can be used for. All his conversations direct back to something long and dull about boats.

SO BORING. That's even boring with things that are interesting!

I get annoyed when people use swear words in every sentence they use.

I also hate when people use the word WooT. Its extremely anjnoying and it makes no sense. Its nerd talk.

I also am not a fan of public domain dvds. The picture is ususally crappy on the discs.

Ahaha, I'm guilty of saying "woot." Woot for fancy nerds.

I do not like it when people want everyone to come to them for advice, and it goes something like this:

Bob: "My job is hard and I don't get to spend time with my family."
Tom: "Sell your kids!"
Bob: "But I love my kids!"
Tom: "THEN YOU MUST HATE ME! I HATE HOW YOU HATE ME! NO ONE EVER LISTENS TO MY ADVICE!"

i fall asleep to the radio. i think i like to sleep with the radio because both my parents snore. when i go on vacation, though, i always have to be sure to go to bed BEFORE them, otherwise i am kept awake by the train :x last year i ended up blasting my music so loud in my ears that it woke my mom up, and she went to the bathroom. by the time she got back, i was asleep! gotta do what you gotta do :P but, for some reason, if im asleep and i wake up again, like to go to the bathroom, i can fall back asleep if they're snoring. i think its just when im about to fall asleep.

I fall asleep to the radio if I'm riding in a car while tired, and the person playing the radio wants to be obnoxious by not turning the volume up so that only he can hear it. That's an annoyance.

People who call "Herbie: Fully Loaded" and Bruce Campbell's "Love Bug" movie remakes. Man, they were doing that like crazy when they came out!!!! Even people who should have known better!

Also, hypocracy in the media. It has been running rampant for the past several decades.
