Well, since these aren't Disney, his statement on eBay is false. Sure these are animated films, but that does not make them Disney. That's what is wrong in the world today. The general public, assuming that if it is animated it is Disney, will go and buy it because they think that it is Disney, where in reality it isn't. That is why I think that some people should be better educated in the world of....... the world. Honestly, it's not that hard. That seller should probably say that included are other animated titles that are not Disney, like "Madagascar," "Finding Nemo," and the films from the "Shrek" series.mickey2003mouse wrote:as well as new age movies like madagascar, finding nemo, all shreks..

It also makes me so ANGRY when people say Universal and Disney World are the same thing. Then when corrected, they get insulted and say something like "Well they're both in Orlando", then still insist that there isnt a difference. Some people just don't have a problem being ignorant I guess.TheSequelofDisney wrote:Well, since these aren't Disney, his statement on eBay is false. I've never heard that before! I always thought it was movies and characters people messed up. Next people will be mistaking Dolly Wood and The hershey Theme Park as Disney parks.rnrlesnar wrote:

I saw a similar set at a Car show of all places. There were two Asian people with a stand of bootleg movies. They had 9-disc Disney box sets with 45 Disney movies, which means 4 films to a disc. Talk about compression!
I'm currently watching and reviewing every Disney film in chronological order. You can follow along at my blog, The Disney Films, and also follow me on Twitter.

*shudder*
I guess if someone just wants the movies and doesn't care about the quality it's ok, but I can't begin to imagine why anyone who really likes the movies or is a collector would want a set like that.
Oh, and about people mistaking other movies for Disney... I worked at the Disney Store this past holiday season, and people would ask for the weirdest things! Top of the list would have to be Dora the Explorer and Happy Feet stuff. Then they'd get upset when I told them it wasn't Disney. Like I was lying to them or something! Yeesh!

I have also experienced the same problem multiple times of ignorant people saying anything animated is Disney and saying that Universal Studios and WDW are the same thing. It also pisses me off when people say for example call a random female fashion doll a "Barbie". If it doesn't say "barbie" on the box, Guess what? IT'S NOT A ******* BARBIE!

That actually makes me cringe when I look at it. I have the OOP 2-Disc SE of Shrek, and in the bottom corner of the cover, there is a blue box that is clearly visible with the Dreamworks logo and the title Dreamworks there.JiminyCrick91 wrote:It looks to be 104 and it SO fake.
P.S. You would've THOUGHT the idiot who made this would have at least noticed that some of the films there are NOT Disney, or even TRY to put them in chronological order/theme order (aka "Princess", etc.). What a loser to do this. Sorry for sounding snappy, "I...took a Chinese vitamin this morning." (for those of you who watch SNL).

I know what you mean queen rahel, when it used to frustrate me to know end when i was working fulltime on Jaws at universal orlando (before i made Los angeles my main home) and people would come up and ask how the disney fastpass works. and they would get mad when you corrected them.QueenRahel wrote:back to what was said before....about people thinking disney and universal are the same thing....its really true....i was a vacation planner and in pass sales at universal and IOA and people all the time would try to use their disney tickets to get in to universal and would be very upset and confused as to why they cant.....i also had people argue with me on this all the time....one guy asked where we put the castle.....and i told him that was only at disney, not here at universal and he kept swearing that last time he was here we had a castle....haha thats disney dumb fool is what i wanted to say.....people think tickets for any attraction in orlando work everywhere like orlando is one big theme park
