So are The Simpsons and South Park. And at least South Park is funny. Family Guy's humor is so tired and lame that it's not funny anymore. The reason it's so offensive is that it expects us to think all these rip-off jokes are that funny. At least South Park finds a way, in the context of these politically controversial times, to make it's humor fresh.

Yes you do, I was just illustrating where you were wrong. Hoping you'd see the light. I never tried to change your tastes.
MinnieMe wrote:And you're grasping at straws with your insightful look at "Reality TV". We all know what people are talking about when they say "reality TV" and it's not in reference to Animal Planet or Court TV, even if those shows ARE reality TV.
And I'm probably not the only one, but I never understood what was so great about Arrested Development. It had more chuckles than out and out laughs. The Office both versions are far superior to AD.

Agreed, I despise that show. I'm so glad it doesn't air between The Simpsons and Family Guy anymore. Although, I'd say its successor, The Winner, is even worse. It's hard to believe the creator of Family Guy could be responsible for something so unfunny.

What is there in The Man Show that's so much more offensive than Family Guy? They seem to be crossing the same boundaries.
Friends
The Cosby Show
Blossom
Amen
Xena
The X-Files
Full House
Perfect Strangers
Family Matters
All in the Family
The Anna Nicole Show
The Worst Modern Shows
Survivor
Two and a Half Men
Big Brother
Medium
The War At Home
King of the Hill
Deal or No Deal
America's Next Top Model
America's Funniest Home Videos
Passions
Dr. Phil
I was not trying to imply good or bad or taste PixarFan. It just strikes me that the Man Show and Family Guy use the same kind of humour.
Naming worst TV shows is kind of hard given how much of Tv is just plain aweful. It would be easier to do Best TV shows(although we may already have) as the list would be a lot lot shorter.
Okay I'm not even going to get into this thread (well not too deeply anyway), but there are definitely some choices that I disagree with. Will and Grace, Friends, and Family Ties are all pretty decent shows, and if they can get on peoples hate lists, then shouldn't things like The Nanny and Dharma and Greg make it on there? (BTW, I pretty much love all sitcoms made since the nineties, and they pretty much my religion now). But I can see how things like that can get on peoples nerves, so I understand. I also never saw how Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc. were so noteworthy, and these new contemporary sitcoms are starting to get old- Scrubs, My Name Is Earl, etc. Yeah that's all I have to say on them. TV is pretty good though, if you watch the right shows. Oh, and Sex And The City is a good show. It's a better show than some of the crap like The Office now on air.

Damn! I take back my Angel statement. Must've been during the time I caught a season 1 episode (also happened to be the worst epi of the season).

Dude, I won't even bother massively disagreeing with everything you wrote about the show, but just wanted to comment... Their relationship lasted a good 3 years. That's probably 2 years or more than most couples get on teen shows.

Take deep breaths. Slowly... Deep breaths.
OK, all better now... I'll just say this: There's a reason Xena's considered classic TV.

I think The Nanny is a pretty good show, sometimes, when the plot isn't based on an random plot, the episodes that deal with real life (Smoking, eating disorder, etc) are the best ones of The Nanny. Does anybody know where I can find Season 2?
I have to say that some of the shows that I currently watch such as Family Guy are not as good as they used to be.
I cannot believe I forgot Survivor, the trash that started the whole reality trend.
Another show that I truly hate is Jerry Springer. I cannot believe people actually watch this show. What's worse is that he got his own movie that tanked (which I find funny),
i love survivor....i practically only watch reality tv.....i hate all these stupid dramas with bad actors and crap comedy series.....theyre terrible...i do not enjoy watching people act like other people esp if they suck at it....reality is just that....mostly unscripted....other than reality tv i watch afv, which is kinda reality and hmm....i guess just prison break...
Anyway, I still stand by my old post here that said Passions was one of the worst shows ever. And thankfully, it won't have to be a problem for me come September when the godawful waste of a perfectly good timeslot will go off and become the fourth hour of The Today Show.

Has anyone ever heard of Rated D for Dumb, or did someone just attempt to trick me? One of my friends said, "There's this really weird show called Rated D for Dumb. It's all about these animals that come on the screen with clothes on and stare at you. Then, at the most random moment, they throw off all their clothes!"
That is, according to her, an entire basic episode.
