Oooohhh, definately Barbossa. Terrific, complex, and with just the right balance of creepy-funny menace and strange likeability. Plus, you can never quite guess what he's going to do next, which acounts for a lot of why I really can't wait until At World's End comes out.

The White Witch is up there too, but she is really C.S. Lewis's villian, and well-rendered from the books. Also on the shortlist: Glenn Close's Cruella DeVil, primarily from the live-action version of 101 Dalmatians (as opposed to the boring 102 even she couldn't save.) That performance was creepy, respectful of the animated version, and yet she wasn't afraid to add her own touch and stamp on the role. Difficult balancing act, that.

From what I've seen in the first Pirates film, I pick Barbossa.

I like the more obscure. I'm voting for The Sanderson Sisters in Hocus Pocus and Doc Terminus from Pete's Dragon. Both are very funny villains.
I'm currently watching and reviewing every Disney film in chronological order. You can follow along at my blog, The Disney Films, and also follow me on Twitter.

Off the top of my head, it's probably either Barbosa or Doc Terminus. THOUGH, I LOVE Davy Jones, the Sanderson Sisters, and Judge Doom. I could easily be forgetting one or more faves, too.

Doc Terminus is great. And, her name just escaped me, but the girlfriend in "The Parent Trap".

I believe you mean Vicky, blackcauldron85.

No one has said Barnaby (from Babes in Toyland) yet?

Mine would be the Sanderson Sisters followed by Barbosa, Doc Terminus (alot of people seem to like him), and Barnaby (of course)

Second would be 102 Dalmations Cruella (same post)
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Thanks, Flanger-Hanger! I'm horrible with names! (And, great TBC pic in your siggy!!!)

I don't know how I forgot them, but the Gogans! I love "Pete's Dragon", and Doc Terminus isn't the only fun bad guy...the Gogans are funny...mean, but funny.

I find Davey Jones irresistibly evil. Great performance.
