So does anyone remember this attraction at MGM or have any fond memories?
The only time I went to WDW in 96, I enjoyed this one so much as a kid, I remember wanting to be selected to be in the Gilligan’s Island scene but we were standing too far back to be seen. Did anyone on the board have the fortune of being selected to be in one of the shows?

I remember that one fondly. My dad actually got picked for the Tool Time scene. It was a blast. I always think that that still could be fun for guests since TV keeps evolving and you could have a ton of shows rotate into that attraction.

I always wanted to ride the bee from" Honey I Shrunk the Kids." I was never selected...

I remember a guy who looked like Santa Claus was picked for the soap opera segment. The only kids who got picked were for the Gilligan's Island opening. I wonder why they didn't pick more kid friendly television scenes to mock. I don't remember much, but the only segment that looked real that I remember was the soap opera one, lol. I think it was because the video quality looked similar enough as opposed to the Lucy episode (the chocolate episode)and they didn't integrate it well. The lady playing Ethel was funny tho because she looked so confused.

I got to be in the Cheers scene!
My husband and I honeymooned at the WDW Resort in August 1991. When they said they needed a couple for one of the scenes, we were jumping up and down and got selected. When they asked for our names, I automatically gave them my maiden name.
We got to sit at the Cheers bar and tell Woody that it was our birthday. That was so much fun! I wish they would bring back that attraction. It was so interesting to see how they produce a TV show with a live audience.

If they do bring it back, I wonder what shows they'll do...gadgetmobile wrote:I wish they would bring back that attraction. It was so interesting to see how they produce a TV show with a live audience.
