What are ways you make money?
Besides getting an income from a job, what are other ways you make money? I've sold things on eBay on the past, and I've sold CDs before. I've even sold clothes. I wonder what some of the ways you make additional money are.

I sold my Game Boy games to GameStop a couple years ago. I have an internship, and not a paying job, and I get 2.5% of my husband's paycheck every 2 weeks as an allowance (I'm trying to graduate this December, so I can get a real job). He gets upset when I sell CDs and other things I own, but I don't know of other ways to get extra money for things I want more. There's a used clothing store in town, and I've sold some stuff to them, but they only take really new stuff, and most of my clothes I've had since high school (I graduated in 2003). I have friends with kids here in FL (I babysat my niece & nephew for $ before I moved), and I have babysat, but not for money. I do Harris Poll surveys, but they don't pay cash (but I like the Best Buy gift cards I get).
memnv, do you still do surveys that pay?
I just need to get ideas on how to make money without a job...thanks for your ideas, memnv & PixarFan2006! Anyone else, feel free to share!

I am like Memnv, and I still do surveys that pay money. There are several of them out there, my favorite is the one I got through Border's Books, because you get actual cash and you can build it up before cashing in. Their surveys pay from $2.50 to $12.00 each, and I really look forward to receiving my notification by e-mail that a survey is waiting. My account with Border's is up to $40 right now, and I have a new survey that I am going to take when I get done here.

Yeah, a job seemed like the obvious answer... Beside that: I sometimes end up buying whole "collections of collectibles" - then I keep what I need for myself and can usually sell the rest to other collectors with some profit. I very rarely sell from and "thin out" my own collections, since I practically only buy the sort of things I want to keep...

dvdjunkie, can anyone sign up for the Borders surveys? If so, can one sign up at borders.com?
And Lars, a job would make sense, but I'm a student, and most jobs just aren't flexible. I started my internship last month, but it doesn't pay (even though I am getting school credit). Once I graduate, I'll be fine. I know that most of my money will go towards bills and whatnot, but at least the 2.5% for play money will be higher.
And, I used to sign up for a bunch of survey companies, but I never got much of anything out of those, except for Harris Poll.

Right now I am a stay at home mom and full time student, so my income is zilch. I try to make a few dollars here and there on Ebay...I sell just random items. I used to own an Ebay Store selling small dog apparel, collars, leashes and that sort. I made about $1000 a month doing that, but it was very short lived (seasons change). I tried the Paid Survey's but I can never make more than a couple cents out of it...I guess I will give a different place a shot.

I think you can sign up at Border's dot com, if not you may have to go to your local Border's Books to sign up.........that's how I did it. I have been with them for almost a year now, and their surveys are sometimes very fun, and sometimes very tedious, but you make good cash money doing them.
NPDOR is another company that I do surveys for, but basically to win prizes, along with the cash.

Grand-parents!!!!
Just kidding, but still always welcome, even more since my granny doesn't have a clue what I like, so I usually buy it myself and she goes with me and pays for it. I love her!! She lives like about 1 hour away from where we live, so I don't see her too often, and she's a pretty good baker!! YUMMY

Okay, I just tried to sign up but apparantly they are pretty exclusive and you need to stumble across a banner before you can apply. Does anyone know where I can find this banner!?!?

I'm glad I found this thread. I graduated college last month and I need something to supplement my freelance work until I get a second job. I thought about doing surveys before but I wasn't sure if those things were just a scam. I'll look into the ones that have been mentioned here.
