Well my answer is simple, if the extras were anything worthwhile - it wouldn't be on a Wal*Mart exclusive, it would be on disc 2 of the Platinum Edition! I looked into it, I thought the bonus disc seemed worthless (to me anyway).Matt wrote:Why didn't anyone want to get the Extra Bonus DVD Disc at Walmart?![]()

Well FantasiaMan just spent 20 bucks on the DVD when he could have easily went to target or walmart to get it 5 bucks cheaper. But my point is, if he spend that much, why not get an extra DVD? Ya know? And the Disc was ok. like you said nothing that intresting but you learned more about the new Tinkerbell movie.Simba3 wrote:Well my answer is simple, if the extras were anything worthwhile - it wouldn't be on a Wal*Mart exclusive, it would be on disc 2 of the Platinum Edition! True - you might as well get the DVD from a retailer and pick up your choice of the retailer exclusives - whatever your choice is.Matt wrote:Well FantasiaMan just spent 20 bucks on the DVD when he could have easily went to target or walmart to get it 5 bucks cheaper. I also liked the making of for the T-squad video.Simba3 wrote:True - you might as well get the DVD from a retailer and pick up your choice of the retailer exclusives - whatever your choice is.Matt wrote: Well FantasiaMan just spent 20 bucks on the DVD when he could have easily went to target or walmart to get it 5 bucks cheaper. However, I do prefer Jesse McCartney's remake better.
"Fairies" Bonus Content: "Making Of, 'The Second Star To The Right' music video with Truth Squad; "Fairies" Profile Game - Which Fairy are you most like?; "Tinkerbell?s World" - Fairy profiles; 4 "Fairies" Storybook Read Alongs; Pirate Treasure Hunt Game; "Neverland's New Hero" Read Along, Featurette.Ltinker1976 wrote:out of curiousity what is on the walmart bonus dvd.
Walmart also advertised music videos but there aren't any on this disc whatsoever.

ARG!! So here I am sitting here at home...having just got out of night school...when I should be at Wal Mart picking up my copy of Peter Pan: Platinum Edition...
I would have been able to buy had my mom not borrow my $30 last week! Thanks a lot mom...now I have to waite until you get paid so you can pay me back in like 3 days!! AHHHH! I had money on the first day for LATT, TLM, TF&TH, RH, heck I even had money for CIII, But for Peter Pan...my all time favorite next to Aladdin...Im broke...my world is gunna blow up now...Im going to go cry in my corner...Im kidding btw..but Im highly upset. Okay maybe Im being over dramatic for a DVD that will be around for like 2 more years..still..Im an impacient person lol.
Anyways....I think the restoration looks okay...big change in color scheme though...its interesting to see how bright and vivid it was then how like...dull it got well not dull but like...how should I say..Warmer? Tinker Bell and the Mermaid caught my attention the most the mermaids fin went from like glowing bright blue...to like...greyish blue. The backgrounds are also way different. Perhaps I just need to watch it myself on my t.v.
However it does look a lot better like without all those un needed things like grain and stuff and all that jazz. So for a transfer I think it looks greeeat. WOnder how it sounds.

For those complaining about the Movie Rewards sticker on the slipcover...it peels off quite easily with no damage to the cover whatsoever. The only trick is getting under the edge of the sticker to start peeling without digging into the cover. I did it with no problem. I always take the stickers off the slipcovers just because I like the look of them that way.
I think more people were upset that the Disney Movie Rewards logo is on the cover of the dvd (aside from the slipcover) and that portion is obviously NOT removable.gardener14 wrote:For those complaining about the Movie Rewards sticker on the slipcover...it peels off quite easily with no damage to the cover whatsoever. What?
The one that they're talking about is on the slipcover...no one said anything about peeling off the logo on the cover itself.

Written on the spine does it say "Peter Pan: Special Edition"? I know this is being labeled as a Platinum Edition on the cover, but I saw on the commerical it says on the spine as well "2 disc Platinum Edition" That would totally ruin the way the spine's have been this far.
I know it's totally nit picky but I love the little details like that

No, it says "2-Disc Platinum Edition" on the spine and "Platinum Edition" across the top...the commercials use a mock-up of the cover, which Disney does quite commonly on the Platinum releases.

I have to admit, I too wish the front and the side both just said "Special Edition" like all of the other PE's with just the Platinum Edition banner at the top of the DVD. Arg! I guess we are picky!CampbellzSoup wrote:Written on the spine does it say "Peter Pan: Special Edition"? They already called the last DVD release a Special Edition, so that label could not be reused for the Platinum Edition. Anyway, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has no edition name on the spine, so they were inconsistent from the second release in the line onward.
I have the Special Edition already, I am not a videophile, and the new bonus content does not sound that great, so I will not be double dipping. Hopefully, The Jungle Book is given more care.

I Was being a little Sarcastic, since why would anyone complain if it was just a matter of a sticker being on the cardboard sleave Everyone is upset cause its a tacky promotional thing that takes away from the cover and you can unfortunately not do anything about it. and even though its small and in the corner its so out of place that your eyes are instantly drawn to it.Ltinker1976 wrote:SINCE WHEN CAN YOU PEEL OFF SOMETHING THAT IS PRINTED ONTO A COVER. It was a tasteless poor choice by the marketing dept that hopefully wont occur ever again
