Hmm Im not too sure about international DVD's. Both the US and Canada are Region 1 DVD. Be very careful about buying DVD's online, some of them mite be fake bootlegs. I ended up with 2 bootleg Disney DVD's when I was new to eBay and new to collecting.

My best advice would be to stick to authentic DVD's found in retail stores like Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Borders, Sam Goody, Sun Coast, FYE, Game Stop, EB Games though Im not sure if some of these stores exist in Canada.

If you buy online eBay for example, make sure you read throughly on the item description, and if it's sealed, with the Beuna Vista stamp on the back of the shrinkwrap or cellophane, and make sure you check the seller's feedback to see if they are a good seller or not. Legit out of print Disney DVD's are really hard to find. However you can find used DVD's that are legit on eBay, you just have to make sure they are real. It can be a difficult task but they are there. Im pretty good at determining if a DVD from eBay is real or not, so if you want to post the links and I'll help analyze it to see it it is an authentic Region 1 release. Anyways Happy Collecting.

The answer to your answer is the content will be exactly the same with the exception of a french language track, which almost all US releases would have anyways.

The only real difference will be in the packaging where a French translation will be required. And you will get a little sticker with the Canadian flag and Canadian rating(eg PG) over the spot where the US one would be.

Additionally, you might be interested to know that the French track is (when available) the French Canadian one.

And I agree... don't buy on eBay. If you really must, there are a couple of threads about what to look for (like the DTS logo, if it's on the DVD, it's a fake) when buying online. Often, buying here on the Trade forum (disneyguy being the main person to look up to for that) is safer!

It looks real to me, but like myr_heile said, try not to use ebay for disneys. You can get some great deals on OOPs, but try somewhere like Amazon or another online dvd store to get some new ones that are very often cheaper than ebay.

Thank you eveyone for your help. I had made the "import" mistake twice but luckily i inspect eveything and just happened to notice the numbers on the bottom of the cd, i still dont know what they mean really i just knew it wasnt right. i have learned to ask about the B.V. stamp but thats really about it. If anyone knows any trusted eBayers, Users, Online sites and stores (even the ppl from amazon try to sell imports i found from thier personal stores there) I would really appreciate it. It's so hard to trust people nowadays, and any more commens on that peter pan are welcome..hopefully before auction ends so that I have a chance;)

Yup, that one legit for sure. When they have an actualy picture of it, and its still seald with shrink wrap an stuff its real for sure.

I know this one store, I think it's called Leon's Vault of Disney Classics. He sells a lot of OOP movies, but some of them are kind of pricey, but all of his DVD's are authentic for sure.

There's really no difference between Canadian and US releases except for the casing, which now in most cases are billingual with English and French on them, although Disney doesn't do that outside Quebec, they still put a little circle on the front saying that translates to "French Version included" (or so I think), but more recently (such as on Cars) they've changed it so instead of being printed on, they're just a little sticker. Also, on the back, it does have the Canadian rating on it and maybe a little pic of the Canadian flag. That's about it, apart from a few cover differences, there's nothing different.

I'm basically just saying the same as everyone else but with an example!

My 60th Anniversary Fantasia DVD that I bought off of ebay is from Canada and it works just fine except I have had problems with it on older DVD players for some reason, it may be the 2 old players that have the issue though. On newer DVD players and my computer it works wonderfully though!

I'd say go for it!
