Baby, among smallest to survive, released from hospital.

Post by chrisno51 »

I was looking for a certain article on komotv's website last night about something very breathtaking that I saw on TV yesterday evening, but it seems that they didn't have anything posted on it, because it was just something pretty brief that they had shown on the TV. I got to looking at some of the older news topics and found this one posted on February 20th. I wanted to share it with you guys here at Ultimate Disney, for those that have not seen it, because I found it to be quite a miracle!

*Quote from article. "MIAMI (AP) - A premature baby that doctors say spent less time in the womb than any other surviving infant is to be released from a Florida hospital Tuesday.

Amillia Sonja Taylor was just 9½ inches long and weighed less than 10 ounces when she was born Oct. 24. She was delivered 21 weeks and six days after conception. Full-term births come after 37 to 40 weeks."

This is truly a miracle baby! :)

I myself was born premature at only 2 pounds, 8 ounces.

that is a miracle and i am glad for the family (and for YOU!! congratulations on surviving being born a premature baby) but that doesnt stop me from being a little creeped out. i mean, she's so TINY and it's...weird!! i dont know, it makes me feel weird (kind of guilty, actually) to see her.

but im glad she survived, and i cant wait to see her when she's older.

When my son was born in April of 1970, he was only 1 lb. 8 oz., and according to doctors the smallest pre-mature birth to survive in that particular area of the country (Sacramento, CA).

Today, Ken is 6 ft. tall, 185 lbs., 37 years old, heading for Iraq for the fourth time, and I love him to death. He is my miracle 'kid', and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him. We also have twin daughters who were born 14 months after Ken was delivered, and they were only three weeks early and both weighed over the five pound mark.
