new moving heads review

Post by martinroyalsdisneyfan »

Sorry if this topic has already been discussed, but what are your opinions on Mickey's new "moving head" (blinking eyes and moving mouth) at WDW. It will take me awhile to get used to it, but I think eventually I'll like it.

I assume that: #1.) the heads are only used in shows, not in meet and greets. #2.) The only characters I've seen with the new heads are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy (correct me if I'm wrong). #3.) This is only in WDW.

Actually this is not only at WDW. To my surprise, Timon at Hong Kong Disneyland also blinks and moves his mouth during the Festival of the Lion King.

Actually there are a few videos of the show at WDW floating around online. Not sure exactly where though - try youtube.

As amazing as they are, they're kind of creepy to watch - but advances in technology will probably lead to more appearances of these moving heads. Probably not in a meet 'n' greet.. well, at least not yet...

I agree with candydog though. It is kind of creepy to watch now, but I hope there will be more appearances so that I along with several other people will get used to them. :ears:

ya...pretty creepy, but if it only for the shows it looks a bit more polished, and a bit more realistic like in the cartoons....but for meet n greets it may be weird cause they dont talk.....but just blink and move their mouth

I saw the video and I think the new heads are actually really neat! I am usually against any change (I like the stuff from when I was little), but they look like the cartoons now!! I approve! :)
Yeah Disney!!!
