Man, I love that show. When ABC still had their TGIF lineup I used to watch that show religiously and I always found it amusing to hilarious. And now, revisiting the show on ABC Family, my feelings haven't changed a bit. It's corny and cheesy, but I still adore it, if only for Melissa Joan Hart. :D

It's disheartening to see that Paramount is distributing the show and not a company who knows how to do TV shows on DVD right, like Fox. At least with Fox there'd be subtitles and chapter stops for each episode, and at the least some commentaries and featurettes. Paramount is rather notorious for barebones releases of popular TV shows (such as Charmed), and this is no exception.

With Paramount we'll get a play all option, chapter stops in each episode and maybe some of those front-loaded previews if we're lucky. At least this packaging is even more economically sized than two Scanavo cases in a slipcover... four discs in a single Amaray case? :?

Considering the lack of extras... I might get this, if the price is low enough.

I just realized that this dvd is coming out pretty soon. I'm excited about it. I'm going to have to get it. Maybe not first week but definitly soon after. One of my favorite shows as a kid and definitly a must buy. Especially if we want them to release more of the seasons. The show got better as it went on.

Wow, didn't realise how close it was til its release date. I really want a review of it, ala UltimateDisney, with screencaps, info on running times, audio and lack of bonus features (and what could've been included). Even if we get a review on TVShowsOnDVD.com, it won't be half as good as what the review here would've been. That sucks, but it's cool that it's out so soon. Hopefully tons of people buy, so that we get more, and (maybe) some bonus features. I'd be happy for a little featurette, or just some promos. A commentary of two would be nice, but then again I'm up in heaven, so it won't happen. Can anyone who buys it, let us know what's on there, and what you think of it? Thanks, if you do.

i was wondering when this show would come to DVD. i'm defiantly going to get it but if it's only on one disc i'll be like 'what a rip-off'. you know something wierd Mellisa looks sorta like my sister, wierd huh. now all i'm wondering for DVD is when Power Rangers will be released onto DVD instead of those 4-episode DVD ones i mean those full-fledged ones like Little House and Full House.

It doesn't have just one disc. It would pretty much be impossible to fit all 20-odd episodes onto just one disc. If I read DVDActive right, there will be four discs.

Very quick, and a good sign for future releases. Haven't gotten Season 1 yet but hope too soon. Looking forward to Season 2 (especially since it contains "Disneyworld")!

I remember loving the early years of this show when it was new on TGIF (it went down to tube when she graduated High School and went to college, and it became a poc when she graduated college (in just two years, mind you) and became an adult and got married to a guy after he was around for what, 10 episodes? lol.

Anyways, my brother will probably pick up Season 1 and he'll be pleased that Season 2 is on the way. I didn't realize the Disney World episode was in season 2. That was a good episode. I liked the caveman the Aunts dug up in Dinoland, U.S.A. This show is pretty clever.

Yeah, I love that Disneyworld episode too Aaron. It's nice how Libby and Valerie are friends for a bit. It was a good idea to break the mould of the show for a while with that ep. I also love the episode where Sabrina and Salem go into Libby's nose.
On the subject of the 1st season DVDs, apparently they're the edited/syndicated edits of the episodes, and have some music substitutions as well. That really sucks, but I doubt that we'll ever get the episodes any other way, so I'll guess we'll have to settle. I'd be happier if some bonus were on there too. Now that I think about it, a different company should be releasing the DVDs, with better presentation of them with bonus features. I think that hardcore fans should tape the episodes off ABC Family, because they're essentially the full episodes of them.
For more info on that set you should check out this site for info on it, and their view of it- http://www.sitcomsonline.com/sabrinathe ... eview.html

Ah, I hadn't heard that. Well that's disappointing -- music substitutions I can live with if it's really the only chance we'll get the show on DVD (it would be nice if it was accompanied with a guide to the original selections) but the use of syndicated cuts is a lot harder to accept. I suppose it may be a rights issue, meaning that complete cuts were unlikely to come to DVD anyways. I'd be interested in seeing an explanation from the distributor. Oh well, I'll still give in and buy it, though not until I find it for a lot cheaper than the current going rate.

Hey guys, TVShowsOnDVD.com has posted info on the second season of Sabrina, and Paramount has officially announced it. Here's the link- http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7181. Looks like we're not getting any bonus features again. That totally sucks. But the cover art looks nice enough and it's great that we're getting them so quickly.
