Is that like the one where Lady Tremaine learns the hard way about grandfather paradoxes that occur when you disrupt the space-time continuum? I wish "Cinderella 3" had dealt with that more.

I have the book Mouse Tracks the story of Walt Disney Records but it doesn't have a list of all the records made by disney. Anyone know if there is a list online?

This was most likely done because when most people think of the Cinderella story, they imagine "the slipper fits" scenario and it wouldn't be that attractive to show the Grand Duke with the slipper since the Prince appeals more in merchandising. It seems like Disney has shyed away from this setup more recently and puts more focus on the "dancing".

I have the LP of "Cinderella". I guess I'll show you this pic.

And here is another pic of a 1969 LP that I used to have since I was a kid. I have the 1960 die-cut "Magic Mirror" LP, but I don't have the 1969 LP cover. Tell me what's wrong with this 1969 cover? It has Cinderella with the mice sewing.

The mice didn't make the blue ballgown and they come easily stick her sewing it while shes wearing it.

Yep! That album cover for the 1969 version was silly. It had some watercolor backgrounds to it. That's the one I used to have.

The covers are almost always "wrong" for books and records because they're trying to show the things everyone loves about the movie on the front. It's just like a poster, when characters are floating around and they're in scenes they were never in before. Personally, I like all the ideas in these covers.

Something interesting is that on Perry Como there was a segment about Disney's Cinderella, the one that was shown as a bonus feature on the Cinderella DVD. Perry Como re-told the story and skipped the part where the stepsisters destroy Cinderella's first dress. Instead, he says the Fairy Godmother appears and makes the mice sew Cinderella's ballgown for her.

Anyway, what's so special about the "Magic Mirror" record...does it do anything different from a normal record?

I have a few Magic Mirror records I got at a LIbrary sale and some have songs not in the films. How many of these were ever made?

Yep! That's the one on the 1969 LP cover of the "Cinderella" Disneyland story album. In the movie, the Fairy Godmother turned Cinderella's torn dress into a gown. In the 1969 LP cover, the mice sewed Cinderella's gown. That was so weird when the 1969 album cover on the Disneyland label had it wrong. But the 1960 "Magic Mirror" LP I have was so amazing.

Off the top of my head I have Babes in Toyland, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Peter & the Wolf, Snow White, something to do with Fantasia, and possibly Jungle Book and Pooh. I'll have to did them out to be sure.

The Sleeping Beauty in the ad is not what I have. I have one that matches the other titles and it's told by Mary Martin and she sings a verrsion of the Fairy Song that's different from the one on the DVD. I think her version is called "Sing a Smiling Song".

I think all material like this should be showcased on the DVD's and not left rotting on LP's where no one will hear it again unless they're a collector.

Amazing? Could you tell us about it? What was the cartoon featured in it (where you look through the rotating mirror to see it)?
