I'm not entirely sure what that means, but there is a very young population here.Lazario wrote:I agree with Daniel on this one. No one here (much) would know what to do with a Dating Service.
I tend to agree that there are plenty of dedicated DS's out there without adding a new one here. However, some people may get together as a result of chatting on here, and that just fills me with joy.

For the record I met my wife on an internet messageboard. However, it was not because I was looking for a date. It was because we discovered we had common interests.

Unless the whole purpose of the service was to hook you up with someone that enjoyed dressing in character.Siren wrote:Dating service on a Disney website = Inviting pedophiles to hunt their prey
The first coupling of Goofy and Minnie could actually take place.
Pluto too, if you are feeling frisky.

To me, that statement sounds like it is perpetuating the idea that only kids or pedophiles love Disney. Are there even that many kids that post here? I have always gotten the impression that most of the posters here are in college at least. After all, I was under the impression that this was more of a Disney DVD site than a pure Disney site, and because of that I wouldn't expect a lot of kids to be on here. Do kids actually buy DVDs? Don't people usually buy DVDs FOR them?Siren wrote:Dating service on a Disney website = Inviting pedophiles to hunt their prey
I actually don't think it would be a bad idea for a Disney site or Disney DVD site to have at least a forum aimed at getting singles together, since I think one of the main things people should have when they get together is a common passion, and that's hard to find randomly when trying to meet people in person. Of course, I guess anyone could start a singles thread and probably have here; I might have done it myself in the past. I am always trying to meet a cute, single girl (of legal age) who is a big Disney fan, but they never seem to be single (when they're cute). However, I do not see this particular site as a good place for something like that. It seems to be yet another place with few single female posters.
Yeah, you could go to match.com or something, but all those places charge. Who wants to pay to meet people? Ha. I don't think this site needs a dating service, but it would be nice to see some singles interaction for those of us who are seeking it. Of course, you can't blame the site for that. I think the problem stems mainly from not enough "single and looking" people of both sexes being here. Surprisingly, this site seems to be a sausage-fest, ha.

UltimateDating.com?
Did you mean that there are mostly male forum members here?slave2moonlight wrote:sausage-fest
I swear I heard that there was already this dating site that was actually made by Disney, and I even think I saw advertisements for it about couples sharing Disney magic, but in the romantic sense... It was meant for people to meet other people with the same interest in Disney, anyways.
Hey...everyone, are you ready for this...UltimateDating.com. There we go.
I vote "No" as well.
