Mike's Super Short Show VS. Disney's Really Short Report

Post by numba1lostboy »

I find this new Disney DVD plug to be incredibly annoying. That girl plain pisses me off! And the kid in the shoe store? SHUT. UP.
I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Mike and Sally. Sure, they were cheesy, but I liked it better than the new one.
:pan: Love It.

LOL I have to agree...it's such a stupid thing to get annoyed over, but I can't help but do so.

Ive been wondering when these two would finally decide to stop doing thier super short show spots. you have to wonder how often they think "man Im too old for this kids stuff". they probably roll thier eyes between takes. but yeah I miss them too compared to this new batch of bratts.

You know the old saying, "you don't know what you have, until you lose it"? Well, now we do. :P

When it was still "Mike Super Short Show" I didn't mind it that much. Sure, Sally could be a pain once in a while, but that was to be expected. And while it was very short, I really enjoyed their 'sneak peaks'.

Now, "Disneys Really Short Report" is another story. It seems to me, their about the same when come to information. But when its just them, their annoying! Espicially the little girl. She practically ruined the Cindy III sneak peak, with her horrible attitude and manners.

So inconclusion, I miss Mike and Sally, (and there dog, mom, and dad) :( And I want these newbies, to get the boot!

yea I like Mikes super short show way better...call me crazy but I actually used to like watching those short shows. They used to be my way of finding out when a new Disney DVD is coming out and all its info or something.

The new show seems like they put a bigger budget into it...and it seems longer then super short show which makes me wonder why its called Disney's really short report? But yeah it just annoys me.

Missing Mike's Super Short Show

Post by Mason_Ireton »

I agree with everybody, the new short report SUCKS!!!!!!!! mega, Mike's show didn't come off too annoying or dumbed down, the reporters in Short Report were ok, but the names, Sweet Ginger, Flip "something" were stupid. the live audience was out of place, "Mike/Sally had their Folks" film their series. I was looking forward to Mike/Sally's Twist In Time report. Let's pray that they don't butcher Walt Disney's Peter Pan, Disney bring back Mike/Sally to the commerical.

I miss Mike's Super Short Show. It was pretty cheesy, but I miss it. This new Super Short Report is TERRIBLE and sounds like it was written by the kids themselves. I can see why Mike's Super Short Show ended, though: that Mike kid is going to graduate high school soon! But the least they could have done was kept Sally and brought in a friend or something, someone younger. This Super Short Report really annoys me. Does anyone actually like it?

Really Short Report.....Ughh........ First of all those kids are way too young, second, (in extremly high pitch, "I'm Flip Flopperstein!", and third, those are jokes? Fourth, I want Mike back!

THANK YOU!!!!! so glad to hear you all feel the same way. Yeah these new kids seem to be trying WAY to hard and I hate the news format too intense and "in your face" give me something enjoyable to watch not this crap. The target audence with these kids just dropped REALY low. Mike and Sally could appeal to people of all ages where this new one is just...dumb.

I realli miss Mike and Sally because at least they were some what intresting and didn' have jokes that weren't funny. I also can't stand the fake laughter.

The thing I liked about Mike's Super Short Show was that it seemed like they intentionally had bad jokes, which made it funny (to me).

I know that if I was 7 or 8 or whatever, I wouldn't be entertained by Super Short Report.

Dang, I forgot about that. That's just plain annoying, IMO. I could understand if the joke was funny, but come on, there's nothing to laugh about.

Oh, and I also shudder to think, what they'll do to Peter Pan. Hopefully, it fairs better, than Cindy III.

I really enjoyed Mike's Super Short Show. It was a fun (and not annoying) way to promote upcoming dvds. I didn't realize that they ended it, I thought that the new really short report or whatever it is was just something weird for Cinderella 3. It's too bad I liked Mike's SSS.
Yeah Disney!!!

My thoughts exactly. Cinderella III is such a good sequel; it doesn't deserve this!

Those little kids have a horrible script, cannot act to save their lives, have annoying attitudes, are the most corny little things that never deserved to be on T.V. - you get the point.

Awful. They make me miss Mike and Sally, as you said. Of course they have grown older, but...still. They could have at least found -better- replacements than three certain boogers.

Well, first off, Sally's real name is Alyson Stoner, and Mike's full name is Mike Johnson.
The show started in 2003, so Mike would have been 13 (born in 1990), and Alyson would have been 10 (born in 1993).

And another thing about the Really Short Report- is it just me, or are those kids really rude? The anchorgirl has SUCH a bad attitude, it makes me want to slap her!

I agree that if they thought Mike was too old, they should have handed the show over to Sally. Mike never looked as old as he was though. He could easily pass for 11-12 to me, when in actuality, he's somewhere around 16.

wow, I always thought that was her real name. kinda odd how they didn't use her real name, yet they used Mike's. (his first name at least)
and I don't think he looks 11 or 12 at all. Id say he looks 14 at the youngest. still younger than his real age though.
