Beware of Amazon.com's Marketplace Sellers!
I was so desperate to own "Lady And The Tramp" on DVD that I decided to buy it through Amazon.com's Marketplace Sellers. I have purchased DVD's through them before and never had a problem. My copy cost me $33 and when it arrived, it was a fake! The cover and insert paper feels like it's lamanated. The disc art is smooth, like a sticker. The movie came "sealed," wich ment shrinkwraped. The sellers smae was "dtime5" and he had other Disney Limited Issues for sale. The movie plays perfectly and has all of the menues. It's a perfect copy. But I'm still mad that I was conned into paying so much money for a fake. I have already sent Disney an e-mail to inform them of the seller, and I wanted to give you all a word of warning not to buy from that seller and to be careful when purchasing a rare Disney DVD.

Burn the seller.
If you have a DVD burner. burn your own copy of it, and then return it and request a refund. Odds are it's not copy protected.
BTW, also leave negative feedback, and report him to Amazon for bootlegging.

goofystitch,
Try and contact the seller and get a refund. If you can't get a refund from the seller then you can file a A-Z claim through Amazon and they will refund your money. You should also report this seller to alliance@amazon.com and tell them that you were sold a bootleg copy. There are always bootleg sellers on Amazon so you should never buy from someone that doesn't have a good feedback history.

The majority of sellers at Amazon marketplace are probably legitimate, so there should be no reason to avoid it. Some common sense is what you need, though.
Still, it's a bit worrying that there are so many bootleg Disney DVDs on the market. I guess it's partly a symptom of Disney's moratorium principles. When there's a shortage of the genuine articles, piracy will flourish.

I got jipped for $4 on ebay once for some disney stuff I never got! I've haven't bought anything since that's only $4 next time it could be more! so unless they have 2000+ good history and all are positive i might consider but i just rather buy it new and know im getting what I paid for. you can call the FBI copyright people to hunt dtime5!

I don't know if this is because of your warning message or what, but the fact is that there's no more sellers for "Lady And The Tramp Limited Issue" on Amazon Market Place.
Chandler (to Phoebe, over the phone) : Listen, Joey isn't gonna be here tonight so why don't you come over and I'll let you uh.. feel my bicep; or maybe more...

Well, I just purchased a $75 text book through the AMP this morning (yes, I used the afilliate link, Luke) and decided to go with a more "reputable" seller. The best price was a seller with NO feedback, but I chose to spend $10 more and purchase through the seler that had nearly 1,000 successful transactions. I guess that's my advice to avoid the pitfalls as much as possible.
