Favorite of the Main 6 Princesses
Just curious to see who comes out on top. I have only included Disney's current main six. Technically, my favorite Disney princess is Princess Ting-Ting from Mulan II.

That's hot.

Jasmine.
Actually, when I was younger, I hated Aladdin. When I was in daycare after kindergarten sometimes they'd put it in and I didn't like it! But I watched it again in, maybe, September and I fell in love with it, thus realizing how much I loved the movie, and Jasmine.
Then, I guess it would have to be:
2. Ariel
3. Cinderella
4. Belle
Hmm...Belle might be number 3, but I haven't seen BatB in such a long time, and I've recently seen TLM and Cinderella....
hmmm.....

Favorite of the Main 6 Princesses
Prudence, you didn't even tell us who your favorite out of the main six are!
Mine is Cinderella. I really do find her beautiful, when in the past I don't think I realized just how lovely she could be. While I liked her warm personality as a child, now I've realized she's got some spunk, but her attitude seems to be "life sucks...for now, but it'll get better", which means she tolerates her situation pretty well.
As for my second favorite of the other princesses, I can't decide between Aurora and Jasmine. Aurora would mostly be based on her looks, while I love Ariel's tail, but I also enjoyed her personality in The Little Mermaid animated series. Don't get me wrong, she was fine in the movie. but she came off as less...bitchy in the series?
Ah, well. Jasmine1022, while I'm glad that Cinderella is your third choice, I have a feeling you'd like Belle more. Then again, I find Belle's nasally voice and the disgust she has for her life and Gaston to make her less appealing than the others. At least Jasmine talked about her unsatisfying life with a smile and a sigh...perhaps that makes no sense. Well, Jasmine actually did something about it. She went for a taste of the other life in disguise, much like Cinderella, who tasted palace life in a disguise.

Ariel, though she's in a close tie with Cinderella for me. To me, Ariel is the only character up there who's even close to being "human." She loves, she desires, and she makes mistakes. The rest never have to make a decision between their love and their family. Besides, I'd have to side with Ariel in her whole Triton conflict. Sure, she shouldn't have been so disobedient (I understand that), but he shouldn't have been so demanding and racist (or, rather, xenophobic). Difficult children are the product of difficult parents.
Cinderella I like because, despite going through hell and high water because of her "family," she's still grateful for what little she does have and has hope that someday things'll somehow get better.
And Belle's a near contender as well. The sacrifice she makes to save her father is heartbreaking (even if the audience knows everything'll turn out all right in the end).

Ahaha, my favorites are Cinderella and Snow White, with Aurora and Ariel getting points for different sets of reasons. I'll edit this tomorrow to explain myself.Disney Duster wrote:Prudence, you didn't even tell us who your favorite out of the main six are!

I agree with DisneyDuster about Cinderella, instead of waiting for her Prince to come save her she went to the palace to go get him
So my number one would be:
1. Cinderella
After that I would list them as:
2. Jasmine
3. Belle
4. Ariel
I would put Aurora and Snow White at a tie for 5th, just because they're so passive about life and spend their time wishing for stuff to happen to them instead of making it happen. I also find Ariel and Belle to be the same, where they aren't happy with where they are but don't do anything about it. The main difference between them and Cinderella, is that Cinderella saw a chance to change things and took it. Outside of the main six princesse's I'd put Kida at the #1 spot just because she accepted her responsibilites as the new Queen and did everything she could in the sequel to make things better for her people.

Woah, Chernabog_Rocks, I have to disagree with you about something! It's true that Cinderella pressured her stepmother to let her go to the ball, and then she did all her chores so she could get there, and that's how she tried to get what she wanted (and later, she told her bird friends to get Bruno so he could scare away Lucifer and the mice could let her out of her room). But Ariel and Belle did tried to get what they wanted as well! Ariel tried to get what she wnated by taking the sea witch's deal. It wasn't the smartest deal, but she thought she could win. Then, Belle didn't do anything about what she wanted for a while, but as soon as her father was in trouble, she went to rescue him. She did leave the Beast later, but that was for her father, and even though she wanted an exciting life, her father came first. Plus, she promised to come back to her life with the Beast afterwards! So I think they all took charge in getting what they wanted, to some degrees at least.

ARIEL !
She knew what she wanted in her life, and was not afraid to live her dreams. Shes brave, feisty, intelligent, happy, friendly, fun, beautiful, and a great friend.
In a way, its probably easier for her to more popular, as she has had a TV series and two, soon to be three, movies, in which she has had a staring role, unlike Jasmine who was a secondary character.
My top three would be:
Ariel
Belle
Cinderella

1. Ariel- She's fistey, she's beautiful, does what she wants, and is a mermaid!
2. Belle- She's adventrous and beautiful. Plus just a little less stubborn than Ariel.
3. Cinderella- Always believe her dream will come true and is always optimistic.
4. Jasmine- Although, headstrong, we don't know much about her because she just a co-star.
5. Sleeping Beauty (Aurora)- Although passive, I enjoy her more than the next one.
6. Snow White- That voice! Plus, since she's just a child, she's way too gulible.

My List goes
Snow White- I have just always liked her. Maybe it's just nostalgia. I also think she has a nice singing voice.
Belle- Fiesty, smart, sweet and likeable.
Cinderella- I love her ''things will get better soon'' personality. Charming and spunky.
Ariel- Annoying at times but she's independent and strong.
Jasmine- Strong, fiesty and likeable but I don't like her as much as the others.
Aroura- She needed more screentime.
