Post by reyquila »

I'm mega excited, since we are going in our first Disney Cruise. It's a four days cruise to see how well the kids handle the experience. Aftter the cruise we are going to spend a week in Magic Kingdom!!! I can wait!!!

PS. Any suggestions as to how to get the most from the cruising experience?

rey - I did one about two years ago.

Suggestions - do everything you can with kids to get early dining seating. Our kids turned into monsters when they could not eat until 7:30.

I hope your kids are at least three so they can go in the programs. Otherwise, they are stuck with you except for extremely limited babysitting times.

One thing I really did not like was the very limited amount of time you got to stay on the Islands. Make the most of what you have. Arrive early, leave late.

Enjoy the shows - at least four of the seven when we went were absolutely excellent. As was the food.

Make sure you get your kids to plenty of character appearances. They are far less rushed than the parks. My daughter spent about 15 minutes playing with Dale and then fell asleep in his arms.

Oh one more thing came to mind - when you are disembarking use a porter. Those guys will knock over their own grandmother to get you out quickly. My guy basically bud right in to the front of the line. Pissed off everybody but saved me half an hour.

I hope you have a wonderful time on your Disney Cruise reyquila!

I have sailed on the Disney Cruise ships 5 times allready and it's a great experience. Most of those times we have split the time up between a few days in the Magic Kingdom and a few days on the Cruise, that way you get the best of both worlds. The cruise, islands, ocean, etc is just breathtaking, simply magical. You and your family will have a fantastic time.

Tips:
- Make sure you try to see every show. They are all amazing, especially The Golden Mickeys.

- Let your kids explore the Kid's Clubs. There alot of fun and you can relax while their there.

- The dining is great, especially in Animators Palatte. Try to get the early seating for dinner.

- Relax, your going on a fantastic vacation.

Disney Villain - thanks for jogging my memory. The night in the Animator's Palate where the artwork goes from black and white to color is absolutely spectacular. The one sit down meal you cant miss.
