Thanks for the new predictions, y'all!

Oooo, good choice. Swell film.Luke wrote:castleinthesky has selected <b>The Illusionist</b> as his prize.
Bridge to Terabithia $96.5m (I have no idea about the book this is based on)
Meet the Robinsons $156m (Sadly, the CGI boom is bursting, and something has to be extra special to break $150m these days, so I'm not slagging MtR off with this lower than average prediction)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End <strike>$0</strike> *sigh* Only joking (sadly) $337.5m (predicted with protest)
Ratatouille $251.5m (Maybe a little high there. Time will tell)
Underdog $78.5m (Although I like the sound of this, and think it deserves to do better)
The Game Plan $59m (One word - "Meh", though I'm sure I'm wrong. Look at The Pacifier)
Enchanted $278m (I think this will be Disney's breakout movie of 2007. I'd love to see it beat the dull PotC sequel sequel)
National Treasure: The Book of Secrets $102.5m I'm not sure there's a huge demand for a sequel, but what do I know. I've actually revised this and bumped it up. I hope its not a mistake)

Bridge to Terabithia - $64.2
Meet the Robinsons - $132.1
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - $396.8
Ratatouille - $232.3
Underdog - $52.3
The Game Plan - $49.6
Enchanted - $196.1
National Treasure: The Book of Secrets - $273.1
Yes I know, some predictions are insane, especially National Treasure 2. But I really feel that one has Night At The Museum written all over it. Plus, it's a Disney/Bruckheimer sequel.

I still don't believe you saw the same Super Bowl commercial I saw ichabod.ichabod wrote:After seeing the abysmal superbowl trailer for Meet the Robinsons, I'm lowering my prediction.
Meet the Robinsons: $126.6 mil
In fact, I'm upping my MTR prediction to $218 million.
I can see the headlines right now: "Audiences Meet the Robinsons: Disney's latest CG toon beats Aladdin in being their 2nd biggest grossing animated film of all time(Pixar excluded)."

Well it's with a heavy heart i make such a low prediction. I personally think the movie will be brilliant and from what I've seen I think I will love it. I'm sure it will be one of the most artistically creative animated movies of recent years. I mean just look at my signature.
However I just don't think it's going to go down to well with the general public, espescially if it's being pimped with a breakdancing Tyrannosaurus Rex. Although I hope I'm wrong.

Well, the game is for domestic North American grosses, so if you're just predicting worldwide earnings for kicks, I can remove your numbers from play. That'd certainly put average predictions back on track. Or you can take a stab at making domestic guesstimates too. Let me know.yamiiguy wrote:yes I am, it's hard for me to predict grossings for a country I don't live in

well with the exception of Ratatouille, I think your predictions aren't half bad. I don't live in the States either but if you're gonna predict their films' Box Office grosses just look at similair films past behaviour and what kind of compeition they have. Your predictions look fine.yamiiguy wrote:I'll try thenLuke wrote: Well, the game is for domestic North American grosses, so if you're just predicting worldwide earnings for kicks, I can remove your numbers from play.
