I don't know you, but welcome back ^^
I've ripped the songs myself, and I'd be willing to upload them. You wouldn't have to rip them yourself. Just let me know if you want them.
I usually use Xilisoft DVD Audio Ripper, which (I think) can be downloaded from Download.com.
Thanks for the welcome back, even though we don't know each other lol. It would be greatly appreciated if you could upload the songs for me. I would really appreciate it. THANK YOU !!!! :D

Do you like Xilisoft DVD Audio Ripper, I mean is good/safe for my computer? Because I could find a million uses for it lol.

No problem. I'd ripped them for my own use anyway, so uploading is really the only thing I had to do :) I'm sorry if the quality isn't that good, I ripped it from a downloaded version of the movie (the DVD hasn't yet been released here, as Supertallies keeps telling you ;)). This means the songs are rips from a rip, which I guess has it's effect on the quality. I'll only listen to them casually, so it's not a problem for me. If you want, I can rip better versions once the DVD is released.

Xilisoft Audio Ripper is the only DVD audio ripper I still use, it's by far the easiest one I've had. However, the songs usually need a little touching-up before they're enjoyable enough to listen to. Songs in movies tend to begin or end very abrubtly, or you can hear some dialogue before or after the song starts (which almost always happens, since it's very hard to pinpoint the second the song starts). I use Audacity to smoothen those parts. Both of these programmes are virus- and spyware free (at least they were when I downloaded them).
One more thing about Xilisoft: the free version only allowes you to rip five minutes at a time. When a song is longer than five minutes, I rip it in two parts and glue them together with Audacity.
Oh, by the way, I love your signature ^^

I uploaded the songs, so here they are.

I haven't ripped I Still Believe yet, since I didn't really care for it. I forgot to rip the reprise of More Than A Dream, which will be added when I get the DVD.

I am EXTREMELY SORRY supertalies, but you're "gift" will have to wait 'til tomarrow. However, I will have plenty of time then. Trust me, it will be done before tomarrow night! My apologies, once more. You deserved better, this is soooo belated!

Seems like some CIII stuff is late. The large book hasn't shown up yet, nor any soundtrack CD's (web search claiming Capital was releasing one turned out to be a screwed up web site). Perhaps those remaining items will be released later this year to boost interest in C III again.

There are currently 41 reviews at amazon.com. rottentomatoes.com has 5 (4 out of 5 were good - dvdtalk.com split its two reviews down the middle).

I can see that Bruno isn't in the film. I wish he's in it. I love that dog. If only he was there to chase "bad kitty" Lucifer. :(

Okidoki, I got the DVD yesterday! And I can honestly say I ADORED the movie, without a doubt. My review won't be as huge and detailed as Disney Duster's, but here is my opinion on this wonderful movie! (Obviously, spoilers ahead!)

Wonderful points:

*Jennifer Hale! ! My word that girl is AMAZING! I was aware that it wasn't Illene Woods, but she has put her own identity on Cinderella, updated her, but still stayed true to the original. Tami Tappan was wonderful providing the singing voice as well. You could hardly tell they were different people.

*The animation! You could really tell the animators put their heart and soul into this movie. Its evident in almost in every frame of the movie. Especially Cinderella herself; I know it sounds cheesy, but the movie looked like the animators really loved her, and the movie is like a long love letter to her. The backgrounds look as if they have just been taken from the original, they are that good.

*Finially, a Disney Princess has a sequel she can be proud of! The main focus was on Cinderella herself, with no mice, sisters, fairy godmothers etc etc taking her rightful main character place. THANK GOODNESS!

*Forget the mice, Anastasia and Drizella were the funniest things in the movie! I laughed so much. And out loud as well! Especially the parts where Anastasia was cartwheeling around, and her mother caught her by the legs upside down  , when Drizella wanted to beat her with a stick, and the clunking around the ballroom with the glass slipper. Despite what others have said, I really loved Anatasia, and how her character changed. Fully believable, in my opinion.

*The Prince was wonderful, and now a hero worthy of Eric and Philip. The Stepmother was deliciously evil as well. When the Cinderella clone came out, I thought stepmother was really chilling.

*The songs and score were wonderful! Totally worthy of a Cinderella movie. Especially the score, which was so reminiscant of the originals.

*There was so much emotion in this movie. The heart wrenching moments for me were: Cindy's disbelif that the slipper isnt ment for her, hte slipper smashing, her piecing together the broken heart, cindy being taken away, and the prince not listening to her, the scene on the ship, and the ending. I cried a bit............

*The end credits and song were wonderful! I really enjoyed them!

Not so wonderful points:

*The titles. I dont think there was any need for her narration really. It chould have been someone else doing it, in a "Once Upon A Time...." fashion.

*Could have been slightly longer? It seemed to be over so fast!

*The Prince should have been given a name, and not use modern speach like "mom" and "dad" etc. Also, although I loved him, I was too conscience of thinking "Your Eric!".

*The second to last portrait on the end titles was exaclty like a photo booth photo! What was that about?

*The final, final scene. That was so not needed. AT ALL. That was the biggest downside to the movie for me. Pointless, and it made Cinderella and the Prince's victory seem less worthy.

There were only minor bad points on the movie in my opinion, but they did not detract form the fact that I LOVED AND ADORED IT !! !! I've seen it 4 times now! This is the best DTV ever, ever made. Well done to everyone who worked on it; they did Cinderella proud.

I agree with a lot of your points. None of the human male characters have names other than their titles!

Currently #3 in sales at Barnes & Noble.com. No news of how sales are going in general (have yet to see updated charts) but suspect she's doin' fine.

I agree with just about everything you said, and I think I agree with that quote, but did you mean the way the stepmother and Drizella were taken care of, or that they didn't go back to their original lives that uspet you? I'm so glad you finally saw it and posted your opinions on it, because you are one my friends on UD and I was really wanting to know what you thought.

Anyway, supertalies, I'm sorry that I did it so late, but I finally got the birthday surprise up. Since today's Valentines today, perhaps you can look at it as a Valentine's gift? Happy Valentine's Day everyone at UD!

Thanks Disney Duster! I regard you as a great friend on UD as well.

I think I am upset about the fact that they were only turned into toads, after she tried to KILL Cinderella! I mean, it suited the whole animal theme the Stepmother had going, but still.....it seems quite weak a punishment. And to top it all of, she gets transformed back again! After all that! Her big punishment for everything is to become a maid, and look after her own house, after trying to murder Cinderella. I just don't get it.

AND, I just noticed today, that when Anastasia uses the wand, the Disney Dust is white, just like when the Fairy Godmother uses it, Cinderella, the mice etc etc. So that was quite a subtle thing by the animators, in my opinion, as it wasnt green like when the Stepmother used it. Very cool!

Hi@ all :)
In my last post one or two pages ago (maybe somebody read it), I wrote that I thought after seeing the final scene of Lady Tremaine and Drizella as maids it seemed for me that they are not home again, but in a sort of dungeon.
Just think of it: You hear drops in the background, the light shines from above...

What do you think?

And Happy Valentine´s Day, too :D

has been harder to find reviews of this title than usual as most of them are buried in kids only sections or simply ignored...

But ew.com, in its kids corner, gave C III a B+.

Now a question (for fun):

Do C III's updated sensibilities and new, pro-active flavor of the Cinderella Heroine have the long term power to banish the C - I original to the sidelines, to fade away as many older movies have done?

There __have__ been many times when the sequel to an original movie has been better done, story and character wise. Harry Potter, Spiderman, Universal Studios Frankenstein all fit that pattern.
