They had no problem with Chica (Pacha's wife) on The Emperor's New Groove being obviously pregnant, but the public gave mixed reactions.
I find that a bit silly; kids should have a more realistic idea of where they came from than Dumbo gives them.

(In response to, "Anastasia rocks!")
Anastasia did indeed become a more likable character. Very spunky, yes?

I mean yea look at Little Mermaid 2, Ariel was 16 when married and had a kid probably around 17. Talk about child pregnecy.

Supposedly, Lady and the Tramp is the only Disney animated film that incorporates such a scene into the storyline - offscreen of course. It apparently takes place in between our two titular character's romantic stroll and when they wake atop the hill the next morning, huddled up together. I never thought about it much when I was young, but it does account for why Jock and Trusty should be charitably proposing marriage to Lady upon her return home (the implication being that she is already pregnant, and they want to make an honest dog out of her, or at least support her with the new family). It also has darker implications for what those tougher dogs' intentions with Lady may have been, if she happened to be on heat at the time.Prudence wrote:-laughs-
With all the children that star in many sequels - and with Chicha, as aforementioned - Disney does indeed acknowledge the three letter word! It's simply not screamed from the roof tops.
There was going to be a scene in Pirates where Jack and Elizabeth - but that was cut.
No such business actually occurs in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, but the act itself is quite heavily hinted at throughout, particularly in Frollo's "Hellfire" song.

I think Ariel would have been a bit older than 17 when she had Melody. I mean sure Ariel and Eric love each other, but I don't think they would go straight to work (Super Aurora wrote:I mean yea look at Little Mermaid 2, Ariel was 16 when married and had a kid probably around 17. I didn't realize that about Lady and Tramp until I rewatched it last year. I noticed the hints during Hunchback upon my first viewing in the theater, though.Caballero Girl wrote:Supposedly, Lady and the Tramp is the only Disney animated film that incorporates such a scene into the storyline - offscreen of course. Who's for actually talking about Cinderella III again, as opposed to talking about pregnancies in Disney movies?

That's hot.

I finally watched the movie and I really enjoyed it! It sure didn't feel like Cinderella, though
. It's so action-packed.
The only things I didn't like were:
-The opening credits. I thought the title could've been done a lot better and put against a more attractive background instead of wallpaper.
-The songs. I thought the lyrics were good, but the music was all wrong. Didn't seem to flow.
-Anastasia. She's deep-down a sweetheart, and I know the point of her character is to be less attractive than Cinderella, but she and Drizella looked so incredibly "cartoon-y" that I couldn't take them seriously. And Anastasia's singing voice was very annoying.
-The exclusion of a rendition of "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo." There was one in Dreams Come True, why not A Twist In Time?
Things I liked were:
-Gus and Jaque. They had a bigger role in this one, and they were adorable!
-The animation of the magic. Any scene with a spell being performed was fun to watch. I liked how the magic was distinctly different when Lady Tremaine used it.
-The action!
-The settings!
-The score!

Cinderella III: A Twist In Time
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SUPERTALIES!!!!
I made it purple for "Twist in Time" colors.
Sorry I missed the actual day! Anyway, I'm preparing a birthday surprise in the Spoiler Thread for you, kind of like the surprise anniversary party the Fairy Godmother gave.
numba1lostboy, I didn't find Anastasia unbelievable. I loved her part in the film, and I thought they gave her real personality. In some shots she looked too cartoony, and less "tight", I think is the word for it, but a lot of her animation was beautiful and she had a "pretty side". Actually, Gus and Jaq didn't seem to have that much of a bigger role in this than in the original. It almost seemed like less of them, but perhaps that's just me, who thought they took too much time away from Cinderella herself in the first one. And yes, the animated magic was cool everywhere! I loved the vortex idea in the end, the real highlight of the so-called "final battle". Oiy, but that's another story.
And of course, everyone feels there should have been some of the song "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo". And if not everyone does, they should! The perfect time could have been at the anniversary party... Oh, did anyone else notice that the Prince and Cinderella knew they were going to meet the Fairy Godmother, yet the actual party was a surprise? I wonder what they thought they were going into, especially when the forest was lit up with flashing light!

Supertalies' Birthday
Oh, probably later tonight, supertalies. I will make a post so that it goes to the front page when I'm finally done. I just hope I have enough time tonight. I should.

WOW, I have been gone for way too long. How is everyone? It feels so great to be back posting again. Now onto Cinderella III: A Twist in Time
I absolutely LOVE this film. It is by far the best Disney sequel that I've ever watched. I’ve now seen it over 80 times lol
. Cinderella was so modern and adventurous and Jennifer Hale did an excellent Job on her voice. I also enjoyed the prince, because he actually did something. Lady Tremaine was better then ever. I just did not like the ending--they built up the climax so much that I expected an awesome ending, not Tremaine turning guards into animals. I enjoyed the songs as well, sure they weren’t wonderful like the songs from the original film, but they were still fun to sing a long to.
I just finished watching all three Cinderella films in order starting with Cinderella, then Cinderella III, then Cinderella II -- and I must say that everything flows together nicely. Though there are noticeable differences in the voices of Anastasia, and the fairy godmother. As for the other characters their voices were near perfect matches.
A few questions......
1.) Does anyone have any information about the possible release of a soundtrack to this film? I have searched everywhere and I can't find any information. All last week iTunes had the Soundtrack to Cinderella III, but when I went to purchase it I got an error message saying that the album was no longer available for purchase. I really love the songs and would love a soundtrack, so if anyone knows anything please let me know.
2.) If there are no plans for a soundtrack release I will have no choice but to Rip the songs from the DVD. Does anyone know of any good, reliable, safe for my computer DVD Audio Rippers that I could download? Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
3.) Does anyone know if Disney will release this film onto iTunes? So far it's not there and I really don't understand why. Disney has not given this film an itunes release, a soundtrack, or a Hollywood premiere. What is with Disney---this has to be, hands down, their greatest sequel ever and their doing nothing to cash in on it.
For the past few months I have been lurking in this, and many other threads. I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to this and other Cinderella III threads. Everyone's insightful information and passion for this film has gotten me even more excited then I already was for this film. I've especially wanted to thank lighthousemike for all his screen caps and information. Disney Duster I am so glad that you like this film, you have the same passion for Cinderella that I have for Sleeping Beauty lol
and I know how fun it is to get more from your favorite film.

I've ripped the songs myself, and I'd be willing to upload them. You wouldn't have to rip them yourself. Just let me know if you want them.
I usually use Xilisoft DVD Audio Ripper, which (I think) can be downloaded from Download.com.

Cinderella III: A Twist In Time
Wow, thank you for letting us know! I hope I can download some of the background music, because I loved the score so much! Matt will be very happy to hear it was on iTunes!Disney Villain wrote:WOW, I have been gone for way too long. How is everyone? It feels so great to be back posting again. YES, and it's GREAT to have you back as well! I really missed you! You know, I really have to talk to you! I'm sending you a private message. Please read it and get back to me, okay? Check your private messages tonight or tomarrow...
I agree with a lot of what you said, especially that unsatisfying ending! But this really was the best sequel they made...well, unless Bambi II or Return to Neverland were better, but I didn't see those.

And I totally agree this should have had a premiere and a soundtrack! But perhaps they felt the songs weren't good enough for a soundtrack, who knows? I heard this was supposed to have a heavy promotional campaign, but maybe they only meant in ads, not merchandise?!
