Spoiler: (Highlight to Read)
It's the scene where she goes into the palace bedroom disguised as a maid in an attempt to get the wand back. Lady Tremaine isn't fooled, and Cinderella tells them that they're not going to get away with it.

The line in my signature was totally improvised by me :P [/code]

I dunno. Cinderella is one of my favourite movies, and while I admit that the concept for this movie does intrest me a little, I'm still aprhensive about actually seeing it.

I've never liked Disney Sequels. There are a few I can stand to watch occasionally (ie once every 5 years or so...), so even with the good things I'm hearing about it I'm very aprehensive to see it. I would never buy it, but renting it is a possibility. Maybe I'll just wait till a friend of mine who does like/buys the sequels to get it and borrow it off of her.

Thnx for info, Shycode. Will keep it in mind when I've time to watch flick in total.

But.....cindy goes into the palace disgused as a maid to get the wand back. Tremaine's seen Cindy dressed as a maid for years..what else WOULD she think?? Cindy's brain must have been runnin' on empty that day.

That's as bad as the bit in Cinderella II where in act 1 she's running around town in a work outfit handing out invitations to her party, while in act 3, she steps out of the castle, in the __same__ outfit, and, before going into the __same town__, declares to the mice that "it's a disguise!!". What the heck..is the name of her Kingdom "Moronica"?

But at least she tried something!

well, in the 8 minute preview you see she has hide her face
so she expected LT not to see her face.
but it is still very stupid
But at least she tried something!!

I've got it!!!! :D

My mom bought it yesterday!!!

All I've got to say is that I loved it!!!

I really love the song "More than a Dream" and I'm glad that it's a longer version than the one they showed in the 8-minute preview. And I also love the little reprise of the song that Cinderella sings in the ship!!! It was emotive!

I love the ending, it reminds me a little at the "Swan Princess".

And the DVD (from Spain) comes with a slipcover (which is strange since the Cinderella Platinum Edition didn't get it) - So that was cool, too.

This question just came to mind:

Does it mean that in the original film, before Cinderella and the Prince got married, she actually explained to him and the royal family that she had a fairy godmother who gave her the dress and glass slippers and that she had animal friends who could talk? I've always thought that Cinderella made up a story about how she got the dress and shoes, and that she sneaked her mice friends into the palace when she got married. I wonder what the Prince, King, Grand Duke, etc thought about the magic and talking animals? I know it's just a fairytale, but if I was Cinderella, I don't think I would have told them the truth.

What does everyone else think?

I've wondered that, myself, actually. If we look at only the original, it makes sense that Cindy would keep all of that secret because magic doesn't seem to be a common thing at all (take away the fairy godmother and the mice's ability to speak, and you no longer have a fantasy). Based on the third film, though, it seems like magic IS common in the kingdom. The prince believes the mice all-too-quickly, and doesn't seem shocked at all that he's under a spell. Likewise, the King doesn't seem stunned at all at what's happened, merely frustrated. But then the Prince IS genuinely shocked at seeing talking mice, so the rules of magic and what's common and what's not seem a little fuzzy.

Finally, I saw it today. SPOILER WARNING:

WAY better than Cinderella 2. I like the first 2 climaxes but the third one could have been better. Chickens, Pigs, toads? (what is Lady Tremain doing, making extras for the next Muppet movie?). Lightning Bolts would have been batter and guards exploding would also have been interesting. The End credits were funny (although I don't know what mall photo booth Cinderella and the Prince got there picture taken at). The Songs were bad and unnecessary (I just saw the movie 2 hours ago and I already forgot how most of the songs go). But "More than a dream" made at least some sense. I like how Lucifer looks as a human and now my signature has even more meaning for me.

my favorite line in the movie was "First Birds, Now Mice".

I finally saw Cinderella III and it was ... well.... really cool! :)
I have to see it again today or tomorrow to get my opinion fixed, but after the first time of watching it, I really liked it.
Before I come to the spoiler-part of my comment, there is one other thing, which you talked about here:
The mice, Bruno and Major.
Yes, it´s a little bit sad that you don´t get to see them in part 3, but you already know that everything is fine with them from the original.
Major was the first horse of the wedding carriage, and you see Bruno running at the side of them.
So you know both of them do live happily ever after in the castle, too.
And about Cindy telling about the King etc. from her Fairy Godmother and the helping mice, I think, she would have never lied about this.
Magic was her only chance to get to the ball, so why don´t tell everybody about that nice old lady who made this possible? :)
And that Cindy doesn´t hide the mice in the palace is obvious, because they even got a uniform for the wedding in the original.

Now about the ending of Cinderella III (Spoilers):

I hoped that the ending took a little bit longer and you see Cinderella and her Prince running down the stairs to their carriage, just like in the original.
I liked that the Fairy Godmother asked if she should give them their old life back. Of course nobody wants it, because they don´t know about it.
But with the ending of Cindy 3, the beginning (Perfectly Perfect) of the same movie never happend, too, right?
Or maybe after the wedding ceremony the couple left the church in the same way as in the original and run to their carriage.
Who knows? Because of that I would have loved to see this scene again at the end.
What´s your opinion:
Can you watch the Happy Ending-Scene of the original in the same way after seeing part 3, or do you have the feeling, that all this celebration never happend?
Or can you stop watching Cinderella at the point she puts on her slipper, then watch Cinderella 3, and then watch the Happy Ending of Cinderella?
I hope you understand, what I mean ;)

One more thing about the very last scene of the Stepmother:
Do you think they are at home again? First I thought it was something like the dungeon of the Castle, but I liked the idea of their chateau better.

Have a nice day! :)

I finally got this DVD yesterday. I loved it! I had two problem 1) Cheesy opening scene. and 2) Prince Charming is too much like Eric. Sames voice and same characestics. Although, I was glad he had a bigger role. All in all, this movie is just a little bit behind Cinderella and lightyears ahead of Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True.

-laughs-

I had thought about that! I had thought about that with another woman in the palace, as well. -ducks- Or, if children had been born during the year, what would have happened to them?

I believe that any pregnancies wouldn't have occured, because time was literally reversed. All babies in the world born that year were erased from time and space, unless they were reborn years later.

How did her wedding dress get ripped? looks like something got cut out. propably a cpy of that unecessary dress rip scene in Anastasia and the original Cinderella. Where did Tremaine and her daughters go when they disappeared? Looks like an emergency temporal shift.

It was part of the spell, I'm sure. Supertalies, the only people who could possibly have been pregnant after time was reversed were Anastasia and Drizella, who knew of the time change. They were obviously virgins. :P

NOTHING after the time Lady Tremaine stopped at had happened once the family entered the past. Thus it - hadn't happened. There's really no other way to put that.

In Cinderella 1, the only hints of an "intimate relationship" (it's a disney forum so I'm avoiding the shorter "3-letter s word") was when in early morning the king mentioned he wanted to see grandchildren before he "goes" (passes away), and a dream he has after the ball, when he imagines giving piggyback rides to the prince's children.

As for future; Doesn't Pregnancy, to many USA'ers, imply evil 3-letter word, or raunchy 4 letter word? Given the huge profit margins Disney gets from the Princess merchandise, I'd be very surprised if they do anything to the products to suggest association with "intimate relationships".

Well, Ariel had a child.......so the 3 letter word must have taken place! Although I really do feel that Ariel was the Princess who shouldnt have had a child, way too young. Her personality as that of a child herslelf. Cinderella would have been the most likely to ahve one. In my opinion of course! :P
