My Find at Wallgreens
I was at wallgreens today and I came across a few Disney DVDs. These DVDs included some OOP titles like Sleeping Beauty and both Fantasias. was really surprised to see these DVDS. Too bad I am saving my money for a Nintendo Wii

Wait...
So, you're telling us...
That you were at Walgreens...
And came across 3 DVDs that have been out of print for THREE YEARS....
And PASSED on them...
Because you're saving up for a gaming system that only just came out TWO MONTHS AGO???

Okay, you're forgiven. But that's what credit cards and five-finger-discounts are for, hon!PixarFan2006 wrote:I forgot to mention that I only have five dollars on me right right now.

Wow!! I, too, cannot believe that you passed up on this! If I were you, and I didn't have any money, and saw that, I would ask the store to hold them for you for like a week and either earn the money or beg a friend / parent(s) to loan you the money. Even if you have those DVD's already, (not sure if you said you did or not), you could easily sell them for a heafty profit. Thankfully, I too picked these DVD's up without paying an arm and a leg for them. (Heck, I got Sleeping Beauty for $18.99 brand new a year after it went back in the vault. And this past summer I got the Fantasia Anthology used for $35). But if you don't have these DVD's yet, I HIGHLY recommend getting them at Walgreens ASAP. I agree with Escapay. You should hold off on the Wii. If you pass up on these DVD's, you WILL regret it and you won't get this oppertunity again. I know I regretted not buying several Disney DVD's that I found that were long OOP.

It seems to me that this is somewhat common for Wallgreens. I found copies of Cinderella II, The Jungle Book 2, and The Lion King at one near me. I owned all of them already so it didn't have that much importance to me, but i bet if i go back they'd still be there even though i saw them originally a month ago or so.

Hey, a person has got to have priorities! The Nintendo Wii may have only come out a couple of months ago, but, it's still hard as heck to find. It's well worth the wait, though.Escapay wrote:Wait...

That being said, I am still trying to find a copy of The Fantasia Anthology. So, I wouldn't have been able to have passed on those two films, had I seen them. I have Sleeping Beauty. I wasn't aware that people were paying big bucks to get it. I guess if I ever run across a copy, I'll have to pick it up.

Quick Escpay needs his/her daily dose of the people not buying OOP DVD's Just because they don't have the Slipcover medicine... STAT!! Escapay's Life DEPENDS ON IT!!Escapay wrote:UmbrellaFish wrote:Wow! If I had seen that I would have immediatly bought it! Well, as long as Sleeping Beauty came with a slipcover, that is.

And also I plan to get a Wii but Perhaps you could wait a little bit longer. I talked to gamestop and they said the longer you wait the more easier they will be to find because everyone will have there dose of Wii.
Also Perhaps you could have asked if they could hold the dvd's for you until you ran home... Also most Walgreen's are 24 hours so if I were you I would get back to that walgreens Slip Cover or No Slipcover..... STAT!!

PixarFan2006 you could have told your parents to get it for you and then pay them back later or someday. Sleeping Beauty and Fantasia are very hard and out of print. Better check my local Wallgreens.

Apparently, you don't shop at Target or Wal Mart. Or online.MadonnasManOne wrote:Hey, a person has got to have priorities! The Nintendo Wii may have only come out a couple of months ago, but, it's still hard as heck to find.
Dude, I would have gone home, grabbed my cash and came on back and bought those DVD's.
Sadly, our local Walgreen's is only good for selling DVD's early - mostly in fullscreen. (The Departed can wait another couple of days.)
