Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest (it's actual name), was never released theatrically, it was Direct-to-Video.Gwildor wrote:It's the same with Bambi 2! It also had a theatrical release!

It was in theaters here in Portugal, so I thought it was released in United States also!

They took us to a magical journey under the sea, they show us how a beautiful girl can look into a heart of a beast, they even made us fly on a magic carpet...
Someday the magic will return!

Yes, in the US, but overseas, it did get a theatrical release. I think that as long as it was released direct-to-video somewhere, we can include it here. Otherwise, we'd have to count The Lion King II out as well, since it recieved a theatrical release in Europe.TheSequelofDisney wrote:Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest (it's actual name), was never released theatrically, it was Direct-to-Video.
Bambi &tGPotF was okay, I though. I still wish it was never made in the first place (it just feels wrong!), but it was pretty entertaining. You can't go wrong with a movie that Andreas Deja helped animate.

Nope. Bambi II was released on DVD toward the beginning of 2006 and went back into the vault in April after being on DVD for two months. It was never shown in a movie theatre.Gwildor wrote:It's the same with Bambi 2! It also had a theatrical release!

It was not shown in a movie theater in the U.S. it was in some other countries, though. Take a look at memnv's* post at the top of the page.Prince Ali wrote:Nope. I wish it would have been shown in theatres here in the U.S.

DVD wise, the best are:
Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure
Wonderful animation, a really nice featurette, and the only DTV with an audio commentary, what more to ask?
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
Although I don't own this, it sounds like a very nice double disc set. The winner is probably the "One By One" short.
Movie wise, the best are:
Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest
I agree, the original title is much better than the Roman Numeral title. This movie is probably one of the best DTVs that I own/have. The DVD isn't that great, but the story is wonderful. And hey, Andreas Deja worked on it, so I'm happy
Kronk's New Groove
You might not pick this, but I would. Even though it seems episodic, I find it to be charming, and the cast is superb, with everyone returning. It's witty and a very nice sequel to any TENG fan.

Yes, I've heard about it and I wanted it to come out so badly. And you know what? I don't believe a thing about all this "last DTV" thing. Sequels make money and they will be making sequels for EVER! Or the will be no other Volumes to the "Princess Enchanted Tales" series, which is impossible! So , yeah, they may claim whatever they want, but I just don't buy it. And Hercules II would make a lot of money.rs_milo_whatever wrote:did any of you know that there was going to be a "Hercules II: The Trojan War"??? it was canceled after Disney decided The Little Mermaid III would be the last DTV though, i wander if the roumors are true

Actually, Disney said that the only sequels they would make are for the franchises like Princess and Fairies. I'm not sure about this, but I believe they said they would make sequels for blockbusters, too. Back on topic, my favorite sequels are as follows,Aladdin from Agrabah wrote: Yes, I've heard about it and I wanted it to come out so badly. And you know what? 1. Bambi 2
2. Lion King 2
I'm hoping I can add Cinderella 3 to that list Tuesday.
