Your first films of 2004?

Yeah, I know - cheesy subject, but what the hey. :D

So, what were the first films of 2004 that you've seen thus far? Old films, new films - whateva. I'm sure a few of you were in the process of watching one as midnight rolled around.

My last film of 2003 was Return of the King - saw it New Year's Eve with my folks. And so far, this year -


1st in general - Jurassic Park (on my creaky old fullscreen vhs, no less! Haven't bought the dvd yet... :oops: )

1st theatrical - Mystic River

1st animated - My Neighbor Totoro (again on a creaky vhs with bad sound... :roll: )


- and I plan on seeing Peter Pan for the first time tomorrow. So - what have y'all seen so far?

my last film of 2003 was Brother Bear which i saw on new years eve night for $1.00.

the first movie i saw in 2004 was Bedknobs and Broomsticks. boy what a way to start off the new year than watching Angela Lansbury in a 1970's movie.

I watched Toy Story on New Year's Day, or evening, actually. It was as rocking as ever.

You really ought to buy Jurassic Park on DVD. That movie is grrrreat!

Big Fish - saw it New Year's Day.

A little bit dissapointing. It was too long for its own good I think, but its still a cool film that I think captures the Burton magic.

Luke: That has to be one of my favorite lines in any movie ever. :lol:

The first movie I saw on DVD in 2004 was "Frank & Ollie"... And the first movie I saw in theaters this year was "Brother Bear".
I had already seen both tough... A couple of times each, actually. :)

ROTK was my last (and best) film of 2003, as I saw that on NYE (it finished around 10pm, so I didn't actually slip in another film before the fireworks and the drinking :)).

I guess my first film of 2004 was (oddly) the 2001 animated film, 'Metropolis' on DVD. I plan on watching ROT again theatrically today.

The last movie I saw theatrically in 2003 was Peter Pan, on New Year's Eve Day. I have yet to see something theatrically in 2004, but I wrung in the year with Disney's version of Peter Pan followed by Pirates of the Caribbean. Rented Seabiscuit on New Year's Day.

The first film I saw in 2004 was *** ********, which has become a family tradition since 1999. Then we saw The Fox and the Hound, and we begun a new tradition by watching after that, The Black Cauldron. My first favorite films will be played on New Year's Day every single year.

Well, I received Tower of Terror in the mail today so that is going to be my first movie of the new year!!!

The first film I have seen in the cinema this year was Return of the King. It was also the last film that I saw in the cinema in 2003!

The first new film I'll see this year is probably Peter Pan (my friend wants to see it) but I'm most excited about two films this year,
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Home On The Range.

Well thats actually low in fat so you can eat as much of that as you like.

last film i saw in theaters last year was return of the king
and last film i saw on dvd was ghostbusters (actualy was in the middle of it when 2004 roled around :lol:
after that i watched copycat (both with sigourney weaver)
I had seen so much aliens (alien quadrilogy boxset) that i was in a sigourney mood hehe :)

Well I finally saw a movie in theaters in 2004 -- Big Fish -- and oh, what a movie it is! A really wonderful film.
