Well yeah, it kind of has, with emotional rock bands breaking into music charts around the world, such as My Chemical Romance and Evanescence, and adolescents making the phenomenon known about, as many of us act like emos and talk about them frequently. Movies made by Tim Burton are considered to be somewhat emo as well, since they are gothic, and as such are adopted by emos as their own.
