Anyone collecting old Disney VHS?

Post by Siren »

I have a lot of old Disney VHS. Most of them still in excellent playable condition. All with their original clamshell cases.

Two "rarities" are Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty (FIRST ISSUE). Sleeping Beauty suprises me with what good quality video it still has.

I have others like 101 Dalmations, Fox and the Hound, Snow White, Jungle Book, and more. I need to go through them all and will list them if anyone shows interest. I really just want to get rid of them. But I rather sell them to a COLLECTOR who will take good care of them. Whatever ones are left over by the end of Feb. I'll donate them to a local women's shelter, but I rather the rarer Disney ones go to collectors who really want them.

I'm interested, but how much would you sell them for? I'm just a poor college student, so I probably don't have enough!

Really, I don't have a price. Name it. I just rather sell them someone who would apprieciate them over someone who would give them to their 2 year old to chew on. I will post a list of all the Disney VHS I have and include their conditions soon

Hi Siren! If "most of them" are still in "excellent playing condition", does that mean that some are so old that they won't play? I've been interested in specific titles on VHS for a while, but I want them to play (I want to have all of the films on VHS & DVD eventually).

If it helps any, the titles I have on DVD that I'm interested in getting a VHS for are:

Dumbo
Bambi
Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Melody Time
The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad
Sleeping Beauty
The Sword in the Stone
The Aristocats
Bedknobs & Broomsticks
Robin Hood
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Rescuers
Pete's Dragon
The Great Mouse Detective
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
DuckTales the Movie
The Rescuers Down Under
Newsies
The Return of Jafar
A Goofy Movie
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Aladdin & the King of Thieves
Mulan
(maybe) The Lion King 2
Tarzan
Dinosaur
(maybe) Monsters, Inc.
(maybe) Lilo & Stitch
(maybe) Treasure Planet
(maybe) Finding Nemo
(maybe) Brother Bear
(maybe) Home on the Range
(maybe) The Incredibles
Pooh's Heffalump Movie

There are some sequels I want on VHS less than the "maybes" up there...
